question about cervical exams

i am 31 weeks and am wondering will they admit me or send me home if my cervix is dialating a little, or softening??

i want to know i'm thinking about packing my bag just to be in case.

 

I was 2 cm dialated at 32 weeks and they did not admit me. I walked around like that until the end. But maybe you can give your doctor a call and see what their procedures are. Good luck!

 

For my first pregnancy I was 3 cm for the hole last month and was never admitted. Now that was with a single....

FOr my second single (and he came late) and twins (c/s at 37wk) my cervix stayed sealed tell the very last day!

 

They sto pchecking my cervix after 31 weeks saying that it doesn't matter already.
and I think they will send you home ( keep you only if you have contractions)

 

You should probably have a bag packed at this point anyway...it's early, but as you know, twin pregnancies are anything but routine! You could have the bag packed and at home where someone can easily bring it to you if need be...or if it's easy enough, you can even have it in the trunk of your car from here on out...I've had my bag packed since like 28 weeks...it sits there in the corner of my room and while I haven't needed it, it's nice to know that I don't have to worry about it...

But as for your question about the exam, unless you are contracting and/or REALLY dilated, I highly doubt they will just keep you...
