    Hi,

I have been having several BH a day for a few weeks now. Nothing out of the ordinary from what I remember with my son, although it was 13 years ago and the doc says it's normal. However in the last two to three days they are causing pain in my inner thigh and groin area right outside my va-jay-jay. It's not a horrible pain but definitely noticeable. Does this sound worrisome? I only have one or two an hour at the end of the day and then they subside. My cervix is nice and long so I'm not too worried, just thought I'd check.

    Any thoughts?

When I had DD, I felt all of my contractions in my legs...upper thighs. I do not really know what stomache contractions (besides tightening) feel like. My legs would just cramp up and I had one person for each leg rubbing them.

Not sure if it helps, but I guess it can happen.

Me too...that's what made me question it...it feels like labor did with my son only way way way way less painful. It's like a hint of that pain.

I have never been through any of this before and this morning I had looked up BH contractions so I knew what to be expecting. Anyways, you may want to call your OB just to be sure everything is okay. Here is the site I went to. Read #12

I was having some similar pain to that, but also my pubic bone was sore and I was getting twinges there as well. I had an appointment yesterday and my doctor pushed on my pubic bone...yikes that hurt!

He told me now my body id releasing the hormone relaxin and things are beginning to spread!

My cervix is still closed ( he checked).

Not 100% sure this is the same thing, but alot of symptoms sound the same...I am 24 weeks...hope that helped a little bit.

If you are worried I would call your doctor and get checked out just in case...I know i felt better after :)

Thanks Ladies. I think I'll ask the OB at next weeks appointment if they don't get any worse before. Your replies were all helpful.

This happened to me too, when I was 20 weeks. My doctor suggested I get a hip brace at a maternity shop. I have to say it worked wonders for the pain. It doesn't get rid of it completely, but it is much, much better. The brace is just a wide elastic band that goes around your hips and can be tightened with velcro straps. Mine was $30.

The only negative to it is you can't sit down without loosening it and lowering it a little. So it can get kind of annoying. I wear mine when I know I'm going to be standing for long periods (making dinner, cleaning, running around after my three year old). Sometimes the pain gets so much better that I get lazy about putting it on, then I pay for it later when the pain comes back.

Nearly all my maternity tops cover the band, so you can't really tell you have it on.

    I highly recommend it!
