I am almost 20 weeks and for the past 2 days when I increase my activity I start having BH contractions. At rest I have been okay. Does this seem normal? Did anyone else experience this?

My doctor told me that if I was getting between 4-6 in an hour it was okay, anything more and to call them. I think it's your body telling you that you are doing too much, you need to put your feet up and drink some water. :good: If you are concerned at all, call your doctor and see what they would like you to do.

I also get these and it freaks me out. I am only 16 weeks. For the past 2 days I've significantly increased my H2o and rested more and they are almost gone. Listen to your body.

Couldn't agree with pp posts more. You just have to take it easy.

Yep mine started at about 19 wks and my ob said it's my bodies way of telling me to slow down. Drink lots of water, rest as much as you can. I try to take a rest or nap in the afternoon every day, assuming my kids will let me! :)

I had an "irritable uterus" and it occured I think around the 24 week mark and lasted about a month. I had BH contractions constantly like minutes apart and for hours. It is common in twin pg. I did the usual two trips to the hospital before I got the explaination. There is medication they some docs in the U.S. prescribe but I've heard from many women the medication didn't help. For difficult nights I took tylenol with Codeine and that helped me to get some much needed rest.

It is scary at first but I got used to it.
