When I found out I was pregnant with twins, I bought a Baby Trend double snap n go stroller from a girl on Craigslist. We met a few miles from my house and she showed how she put her Graco car seats onto the frame and buckled them in. Well, I wasn't too familiar with that sorta thing, but it looked right! Problem...my girls will be arriving soon, so we went out and bought two Graco snug ride seats that were also compatable with the stroller...same type the other girl had.

While at babies r us, the guy couldn't figure out how to get the seats on correctly. We bought the seats because they were what we wanted, and I went home and looked on Baby Trend's site for old manuals. I found a model that looked like ours and it was the 1304TW with the bars that angled upwards. I assumed this is what I had. It was at this point I noticed that the stroller should have come with multiple bars to play around with...depending on what seats you have. She never gave me any extra bars.

When I looked on the leg of the stroller we got, it said Swan baby trend 13100TW, and WASN'T the 1304, even though it was identical with identical attachment bars. I called Baby Trend and they sent me an old manual for the swan version, but the girl said they don't carry bars for that one anymore. However, when looking at the bars for the 1304 AND ours, they were the exact same...A1, A2, and D.

I'm really aggervated. We only spent 20 bucks for that girl's stroller. And the lady at baby trend said the bars cost 5 dollars a piece. However, she is speaking of the 1304 model. I was tempted to pay the 15 bucks just to see if the bars will fit on either stroller. There is NO difference between the diagrams on the two manuals. I think the only difference was that the one we have was made under the "Swan" name.

Should we even risk this, or just fork over the 100 dollars for the nice, newer style Baby Trend Snap and Go??? I noticed that this one doesn't deal with all the crap about the extra bars. I believe that it just showed two that are used for all models (just screwed into different holes)

We used the snap-and-go as our main stroller for months. I would either keep looking on Craigslist for the correct one or pay the $100 dollars. You are carrying a heavy load on the stroller and the last thing you want to do and piece things together and hope it works. It’s just one of those pieces of equipment that you want to make sure is right. We spent money on equipment and saved our money on other things like twin feeding pillows, changing tables, clothes, etc. But for things that will make your life easier...go for it and you'll be glad you did.

good point. I really don't want to play around with the parts. I just had no idea if someone out there has the "Swan" Baby Trend version of this stroller and knows that it's really the same stroller (size) as the Baby Trend 1304TW. Perhaps they are identical and the bars work on either, but Baby Trend can't say that since they are not building for Swan anymore.

I'm not familiar with the Swan, but have you tried the seats yourselves? If she had Graco Snugrides, then the bars should be set correctly. I have the 1304TW model and Graco Snugrides. Here are how the bars are set up. Bar A1 for the front seat is in position 1. Bar D is in position 7, strap is in 5. For the back seat, bar A2 is in position 2 and there is no bar 2. Strap is in 5. Hope this helps. You might just need to play around with it a little. I have my instruction booklet. PM me if you need more help.

I would just buy another-it is worth it. Plus once the babes are here you won't have the time to be messing around with extra bars etc. and you want to make sure you find something that works and is safe.

Sounds like you have the older version of the SNG... and together with the fact that I think Graco changed their Snugride between last year and this year... it might never work.

I had purchased used the older version of the SNG and then wanted the SafeSeats from last year... they didn't fit. I got the new SNG and it works. like you said the newer version is just a cleaner one without extra bars etc. The new SnugRides use a base that is similar to the SafeSeat - if not the same... and maybe the base is just different and won't go into the older SNG.

    Good luck.
