Does anyone have a nice creative way of saying no toys on an invite? If gifts are a must I prefer that people help build our library. Was hoping someone could help me think of a nice one-liner to write that isn't snooty on the invites. TIA.

No gifts please. Your presence is enough.

I have to agree with Rachel and Haley, something along the lines, "The best gift we could receive is your presence."

While I like the whole "Your presence is your present" thing, so many people bring gifts anyway because they view that as "gifts optional." At least that's what I do, anyway. I would put something like, "In lieu of a gift, we would appreciate that you make a donation to the __ library. The library will be a very valuable part of our girls' education for many years in the future." Or something like that.

I´d write a mixture of what Rachel & Haley said: No gifts please, your presence is your present. That way it is really clear!

It gets dicey when you dictate what gift people give. Some people don't mind, others look at as snooty (to use your word lol).
When you say library, do you mean a community one or your personal one? If it's your personal one, you could use that as a theme and request that people bring their favorite book from their childhood. If it's a community one, use the same concept but donate the books to the library yourself.

That's a tough one! I'm going to have to brainstorm a bit! BBL!
