We just got a new bed for ourselves yesterday (King size...ahhhh yes!!) and decided to put the kids in the queen we were using tonight.

We have had our son in his "toddler bed" (crib rail off and bed rail on) for about three months. We just did this with our daughter (about two weeks ago). We were going to move them into a queen next month, but switched out our bed earlier than we thought. We're going to put the box spring and mattress on the floor and still use the bed rails for each of them.

Josie twists and turns a lot in bed, whereas Guy does not. Any suggestions? Will it work? Any advice is great!

Mine can sleep together in a queen bed just fine, even without railing. When I went out of town with them, they shared a queen bed and they were fine.

We just got home from a week long trip and they spent every night and nap in a queen bed. It worked well, the only problem we had was them playing with each other before they went to sleep. Also the kicking and laying on each other. But those were minor and they did pretty well considering. Good luck!

Ours do fine in a queen bed (without rails) when we travel. At home, they both have double beds in their rooms (without rails) and have slept this way since converting from a crib. It hasn't been a problem.

Good Luck tonight! I am so jealous of your King bed....would love to get one!!!

Count me in on the jealousy!!

My girls do fine as well in our queen bed. Sometimes I will lay down with them just to keep the playing at bay, but they have so much room I don't worry about them falling off the sides. I think putting the mattress down on the floor is an excellent way to acclimate them to the size, then maybe you can put the bed up later for them.

Mine slept in a queen together until we redone their room. Lauren is a roller too. We had the bed up against the wall and used the bed rail for her. Since they have been in single beds (about a month) she has fell out once and that was the first night.
