My dds are showing signs of being ready to potty train but they have regressed and don't want to go on the potty. Should I put the potties away for awhile and reintroduce them later or should I leave them out just in case?

At their age I would put them away and try again in about 2-3 mos. :hug99:

I'd leave them out. When I was potty training I left them out in the open just so that they would be reminded of them. I never pushed them to use them .. and eventually they just wanted to.

I bought the girls potties when they were 18 mos. and I left them in each bathroom, really it was just one more thing I had to clean cause it just sat and collected dust. We have just start potty training now. If you have a place for them where they won't be in the way it doesn't hurt to leave them out, you never know when they will decide they want to try to go on it.

agreed! yes, they are still probably a little young to grasp potty training just yet. but it won't hurt to leave them out...if they use them GREAT...if they don't, no big deal. i also put a potty in each bathroom. they started showing interest around 18 months too, then got bored and i think we started again between 24 and 30 months. and mine have now been completely trained for about a month. i have learned not to push them or make a big deal about using the potties. all of a sudden, they will show interest...especially if you are going to put them into preschool. they learn a lot from the other kids (good and bad). but mine were done right before they finished their first year of preschool.

    good luck
