Y'know all those kids "riding" their tricycles but it's really somebody pushing them from behind. I saw a picture of a dual one but can't find it again and don't know its name. Anybody know what I'm talking about?
    Thanks

    Kettler makes trikes for 1, 2, 3 or 4 kids :)

Dual kid trikes are very common in Mexico--but they are for closely spaced siblings, not twins. The back seat doesn't have pedals, is smaller, and has a harness, so your 3 year old is out front peddling and you have the 18 month old strapped into the back seat, and adult pushes, or the older kid could propel it--but I think a twin would be too heavy, since only one is peddling.

Here's one from Kettler.... I would check Radio Flyer.... I'm not sure we needed to spend that much on our Trikes!

I wonder why that trike is so expensive?

We have the Kettler's and LOVE them! I got the doubles seat for my twins. It can be removed. Honestly, we didn't use the double seat all that often, and when we did, it was my older son pedaling one of the twins around - VERY FUN, but just not practical all the time for twins. It was just a bit too heavy for one twin to pedal another. Maybe once they were bigger....... Also, using the push handle with the doubles kit is difficult. You can't steer as easily.

Anyhow, the Kettler's are very stable, very easy to pedal, very durable, and adjust to accommodate children from about 18 months old to 5 or older. They are very versatile. Right now, our Kettler has been used by 4 children, and with another on the way, will ultimately be used by 5 - not counting the cousin we lent it to for a few years between my twins and our toddler! We were so happy with the one, that we bought a less expensive Kettler (from One Step Ahead) so both twins had their own. I think that a trike that lasts for 6 children is worth every penny of the $200 we spent ($30 per child).
