I have a few questions because either I'm having a reaction to my amoxicillian, I've developed PUPPS, or another I found is prurigo of pregnancy due to the almost bug like bites I develop.
Drs aren't concerned right now with the amox since I'm not having anything other than itching and little bumps. In a few days if I've not shown change I'm to go for appointment. I'm not too concerned since they said the boys should be fine. We will check though if it doesn't change since I'm not a very happy person at the minute. Itching is worse than my chickenpox at 29! This compares to two times I contracted poison ivy over 80% of my body.

So here goes what questions about Pupps I've thought of.
    1. How far along were you when you developed the rash/itch?

    2. How long did it last?

    3. What treatment did you use to relieve the itching?

    4. Did you still have it after delivery?

    5. What did it look like?

    6. Where did it begin at?

    7. Did you have it all over your body or just parts?

    8. Was it worse at night or day?

    9. Did it come and go sometimes?

Anything else I might miss please toss in!

I've had it twice (lucky me!)

    1. How far along were you when you developed the rash/itch? With my first it was right near the end, about a week and a half before I delivered. With my second it started around 14 weeks

    2. How long did it last? With my first i never had a chance to see my OB for treatment due to Christmas holidays (I I went into labour the date of my next appointment). With my second I was referred to a dermatologist by my OB, and he prescribed a cream that worked, so it lasted about 5 or 6 weeks.

    3. What treatment did you use to relieve the itching? The first time, nothing, the second time, the dermatologist prescribed Betaderm with 1% menthol. that TOTALLY cleared it up!

    4. Did you still have it after delivery? With my first, yes, for about a week or so, but with my second it was gone by then.

    5. What did it look like? Both times it was a bunch of reddish patches that were ever so slightly raised. as the rash spread they kind of grew together.

    6. Where did it begin at? with my first it started on my feet and was moving up my legs. With my second it started on my belly and rapidly spread to cover most of my body. i think the only areas that were unaffected were the palms of my hands, the soles of my feet, and my scalp,a lthough my face didn't get it as bad as the rest of my body.

    7. Did you have it all over your body or just parts? See above...

    8. Was it worse at night or day? It was horrible all the time, but I think it felt worse at night because I was tired of restraining myself from scratching all day. I would wake up at night and find that I'd been scratching.

    9. Did it come and go sometimes? No, it was always there.

Cant say for pupps specifically, but i got a nasty case of pregnancy induced hives that started around week 12 with my dd. It started on my legs and spread all over from head to toe. The only places that were safe were the palms of my hands and the bottoms of my feet. I itched so bad i was bleeding and the only things that worked were making a baking soda paste (very short lived relief), benadryl, and drinking aloe vera. The aloe i didnt discover till later sadly and that helped the most. Unfortunately what i had never went away, so over the years it has gotten better and i've learned to live with it, but i still have problems with it at times. If you do indeed have pupps, as miserable as you may get, it will go away! Hope you get some relief!

    1. How far along were you when you developed the rash/itch?
Late, like about 30 weeks, I don't remember exactly.

    2. How long did it last?
Until a few days after delivery.

    3. What treatment did you use to relieve the itching?
A cream, and cold--cold shower or cold washcloth draped over area.

    4. Did you still have it after delivery?
    For a few days.

    5. What did it look like?
Started off like a stretch mark gone bad, on my tummy it looked terrible, like red sores. As it spread all over my body it was a light red veiny type of rash, I got it particularly on my joints.

    6. Where did it begin at?
Lower belly, right on a stretchmark, and spread along the stretchmarks.

    7. Did you have it all over your body or just parts?
At first the belly, but spread to wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles

    8. Was it worse at night or day?
Night, but I was working in the day so I had distractions.

    9. Did it come and go sometimes?
Not really, it was constant on my tummy, the cream I was percribed helped, but it took a couple of days and a new flare up in another place started before it worked on the previous area--I hope that makes sense.

I read once you have it, it never repeats in subsequent pregnancies?

    1. How far along were you when you developed the rash/itch?
I got it pretty late, around 33-34 weeks.

    2. How long did it last?
It lasted until I delivered at 36 weeks - fortunately I didn't have to put up with it too long.

    3. What treatment did you use to relieve the itching?
I used a combination of OTC cortizone creme and some kind of heavy duty goo the dr. prescribed.

    4. Did you still have it after delivery?
No. I think it went away within 24 hours.

    5. What did it look like?
Little tiny red bumps that got bigger and more raw as I tried to claw my skin off.

    6. Where did it begin at?
    It started around my navel.
Edit: It definitely started in some stretch marks!

    7. Did you have it all over your body or just parts?
Mostly just parts. It started on my belly, but then went to my feet.
Edit: Oh.. and my palms.. I remember sitting on the sofa with one of those fine grade sand paper sponges I'd found in the garage. For what it's worth, it relieved the itching, but I don't recommend using that as a coping tactic.

    8. Was it worse at night or day?
    There was no difference.

    9. Did it come and go sometimes?
No. It was always present. The cremes helped for about 5 minutes at a time, but that's about it.

I hope you get some relief soon!
