Who was it who posted the super cute pictures of their kiddos inside a pumpkin? Whoever you are, thanks for letting me steal the idea. It is way too cold to do the photos outside (it was actually snowing today), so we had to do them in our house. We tried to use a black background, but we had trouble with lighting. It was late in the afternoon which I know isn't optimal for light, but it was the only time we had today. Would someone who knows something about photography look at these pictures of Karina? The first one looks o.k. to me. The second one is the very next picture we took. We didn't change any lighting or anything, but she looks blue. What did we do wrong?

Oh, and Annelise was NOT happy about the whole photo shoot. Here's what we got of her:

It was my post with my girls in a pumpkin. My friend took those pictures. What she used was a shop/utility light (like the kind you have to work on a car) She had them on a stand shining down on the girls. She didn't have anything fancy. Hope this helps.

Your pictures are adorable! That must have been one heck of a carving job on that pumpkin! It looks like a pretty good size pumpkin! :)

Hey Beth, it's a white balance issue. Your camera probably auto white-balanced and did something funky because of that bright orange. It can be easily fixed in most photo editing software. If you want to send me the photo, I can fix it up for you and send it back to you. :)

    my email is aimeebensonATgmail.com

Shandy and Aimee~ Thanks for the offers to help with the weird color issues. We're going to try to take a few more pictures tomorrow and see if we can get some better ones of Annelise when she is happier. If we don't get the color right, I may take you up on your offer to help edit them.

We found out the next day that Annelise has a double ear infection. Poor baby. I guess I'd cry too if my ears hurt and mommy was trying to shove me into a big ol' pumpkin.

We got two of them that size for a total of $5. My DH saw a sign on the side of the road and somebody had a whole yard of them with a sign with the prices and a birdhouse to put the money in. :)
