Has anyone else noticed hearing their pulse in their left ear? It can be so loud at times, especially if I get up from laying down or after walking up the stairs. I had mentioned it to my dr. and she said it was normal. I get nervous because I'm on thyroid meds and I've had to have them adjusted because it was becoming overactive. The last test result was normal, so I assume it is ok. Just wanted to see if any of you have had this happen. Thanks!!!

I have had this for as long as I can remember, unrelated to pregnancy. I notice it most when I lay on my stomach or side to read. Sometimes it is so loud I can't focus and have to change positions. I never asked my doctor about it, glad to hear it is nothing to worry about.

This happens all the time for me as well. I asked the dr. and he said it was just the increased blood flow in your body. Nothing that you can do about it, but it sure can be annoying at times! :)

I feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one. I figured it was related to all the extra blood flowing. It is annoying. I feel like I always need to pop my ears. Like they're blocked. I also feel like my pulse is so much faster now. She also said that is normal. It can be up near 100 at times when I take my blood pressure. Mostly around 90, but that is still high for me. Before I was pregnant it was in the 70's or low 80's.

Oh yes, I had this throughout my first and much of my second tri!! I think it is increased blood flow. I don't have it anymore now though!

I had the pulse in my ear with my first pregnancy. I truly thought it was going to drive me crazy. The doctor assured me that it was from my heart working extra hard due to the increased blood volume. There were times that I thought it was going to make me go mad. I have not expereinced it with this pregnancy ...yet! Hopefully I won't. Hang in there, try to remember it is all worth it.
