    Hi girls,

What to do when you leave for a second and baby pulls up on furniture then eventually let's go an falls. I know they should learn to sit up from fall, meaning not fall straight but fall one the but, but I am scared they will get a concussion. Is it possible?

I have a baby proof area where they stay, and they fall either on carpet or hardwood floor. Scary but I cannot be there every second.

Please share your view on this.

    Thanks

I've never seen a baby get seriously injured from pulling up & falling down. A few minor bumps on the head, split lips occasionally, but never anything serious. Most falls that cause serious injury to babies are when they fall off of something, not just going from a standing position to the ground. So, don't worry, Mommy isn't expected to be there to catch them every time. They will learn from falling that they have to hold on!

[You don't do anything other than make sure the area they're falling in is as safe as possible. Hardwood and carpet is better than concrete or tile. Your kiddos will learn shortly how to fall to their rears, or even to lower themselves down... hang in there until then!

My girls are pulling up on EVERYTHING right now. K just learned this week to fall on her fanny after about 2 weeks of crazy crashes. C is still crashing to the ground. There isn't much to do about it. I just cuddle them after they fall!

What she said! We had 5 busted lips in one week, including Rylee nearly knocking her front tooth out! It's no fun, but all you can do is cuddle them, and within minutes they are right back up and trying again!
