Okay, how are you supposed to 'baby proof' your house when they pull OUT the outlet covers? I just put them down for their pm nap and found one on the floor in their play area

Kinda funny  but  at the same time if you know what I mean.

    oh those sneaky little fingers!

I have seen other outlet covers, however you have to replace the whole faceplate. You need to push a tab in order to open the slots to plug anything into. But if they have figured out how to pry out the plug in kind of covers, they may just as easily figure out how to push the tab to open these ones.

If you aren't using the outlet, you can always get the solid faceplates for about a buck at walmart we did this to all but 1 outlet in their room and that one outlet is behind the change table with the monitors plugged into it! We also switched our light to a dimmer so that we could control how bright it got in their room, removing the need for a lamp. Just a couple of tips..

We even have the ones where you push the tab and my twinkies figured out how to get those off too! At my pedi office they dont even have covers. She says they are more of a hazard then just leaving the outlets uncovered. Every sinec we removed the covers the kids could care less. Try that approach and see how it works in your house.

I used packing tape to cover the whole outlet once the covers were in. Pretty much deterred them.

We got outlets that were child proof...a little more expensive, but worth the peace of mind. Especially b/c DH electrocuted himself as a child - duh!!!
