One of my DD wears pull-ups if we're going out for awhile as she's still learning the ropes of potty training. We call them practice underwear and the expectation is that she keeps them dry. They're mostly for my peace of mind. But I'm having a hard time telling if she is peeing in them occasionally. I know it's obvious if it's happened multiple times but I'm talking about just once. There are times they've felt dry but I know she peed. They're just so absorbent like a diaper.
Can you tell if they've peed in them? Any tricks? I do smell them, gross i know, but even then it's hard to tell.
    Thanks.

One thing I did was put on panties and then put the pull up on over top of them. So if one of my girls went in them I could tell because their panties would be wet. Then they could still feel that they went and it wouldn't be exactly like wearing a diaper.

Thanks for the suggestion! I like that idea. I'd heard of putting underwear over the pull-up but that wouldn't really solve the problem. Putting them under the pull-up is perfect!

Becky, that is a great suggestion! I love that idea! You can also use those plastic pants. They work the same way.
