Puberty in an almost 8 year old?

    I know this may sound weird, but Ian (7 will be 8 in FEB) is already growing underarm hair. So far the hair is not growing anywhere else. I have also put him on deodorant. Is this normal?

    My 8 year was 7 when he started growing under arm hair (he was so proud- he showed everyone!) and had to wear deo. The dr. said not to worry if he isn't growing pubic hair.... Although my son is 8 1/2 and I think he's starting to get some pubic hair. I have a friend who says its the hormones in the food that causes it....We will go back to the Dr. in June and see what he says then.

    Yes! You should see my 14 year old with his mustache! Luke started early as well and by 10 his voice was already changing.

    My girls have been wearing teen spirit deodorant for a few years now. They do not have armpit hair but they have tiny little breast buds coming in. (UGH I do not think I will make it through these years)
