My boys are almost 3.5 years old and know a lot of about potty training. So i decided to do the NO MORE DIAPERS and put undies on them and let them go! WHEW, I forgot how messy it is cleaning up poos from undies, floors and kids legs. EWWWWWWWWW. So do I just keep doing this daily - along with a load of pee/poop laundry daily - and they will get it soon?

Aww the fun of TWIN TRAINING lol

That's what I've done with four so far. I spend about a week, maybe a little longer, using pullups to help them learn the process and then it's undies from then on. Two had several days of wet accidents while the other two didn't and BMs have always taken about a week longer. I had one fight the BMs in the potty for a long time and he would wait for his nap or nighttime diaper to do it. Fine with me since I didn't have to clean it out of the underwear! It took many months but he got over it. I let them learn slowly before three, but once they are close to three or past it, we go to undies with no looking back. I've got one to go and we're starting this week!

Yep that is what we did....one thing that we did and will do with my little guys....is set a timer. Everytime the kitchen timer (or the timer you set) goes off, it is Potty time. It isn't a question do you have to go Potty....it is a statement. It is potty time, let's go sit on your potty! We will have 2 potties when it is time for these two to go!

    Good luck!

You are doing a great job!

As of now, you can make them help you clean up. That might be more incentive to get it in the right place!! Good luck!! :hug99:

We're doing cold turkey too. I would think they might be confused to go back and forth between diapers and underwear, so we've completly ditched the diapers and just do undies all day and pull ups at night (we call them special night undies and I keep them in the drawer with their undies so they don't see me pull them out of a diaper package).

BTW, our first day was a completly mess... all accidents. Second day was half and half, third day was only two accidents. It will get better. :)

thanks all! Its IS getting better. I think Josh had an entire DRY day yesterday aka no accidents!!! But I still have to bribe them with a tiny marshmallow to get them to go but I am hoping that will slowly become a habit w/out needing incentive. Josh woke up DRY two days in a row! I do the same thing with pull ups. I call them special undies and put them on at night and if we are going for a long drive. I need to get those piddle pads for their carseats.

    Day 4...stay tuned... :D
