projection mobiles

Does anyone have a mobile or other device that projects images on the ceiling that you love? I don't want to buy a regular mobile since my girls share a room. I'd like to get something they both can enjoy at the same time. I don't care if it plays music, we can always use a CD player.

 

We had a projection mobile in one of their cribs, but never found a good way to have it shared. Their cribs are on opposite walls, I guess it would depend on where their cribs are situated. We had the flutterbye dreams.

 

Up until the boys turned about 4 months or so, we used the Fisher Price Ocean mobile, but we had one in each crib. It plays music and projects shapes/light on the walls and ceiling.

Now, our boys love their Twilight Turtle, which projects real constellations on the ceiling. They've got ladybugs and sheep as well. www..sleepsheepandfriends.com

We also found it was too hard to share any projections with how our cribs are set up. They're on the same wall with a few feet in between. My DS Conner LOVES the Fisher Price thing that sits on a dresser, plays music, & shoots patterns on the ceiling (sorry, I can't recall the name off hand...it's newer). It has patterns for different age groups, although it never worked well when they were younger b/c they never seemed to look at it or be able to see that far away.

How are your cribs set up that you think they'll both be able to see something?

 

We have a ceiling fan that shoots stars up on the ceiling, it casts a soft glow around the whole room, the babies love love love love looking at it, I swear that's why they sleep so well, they love looking at the 'stars'. We always turn the light off when we go to bed at night so it's not on all night.

 

Beth I have that projection mobile! We LOVE it, especially the heartbeat sound. It has a timer on it or you can play it all night. We leave it on all night, mainly as a night light, so that we can go in and peek in on them without turning on any lights.

 

We have this. No music, but very cute, and the stars really show up on the ceiling! I have ours sitting on the floor of their room.
