We just bought a pair of these before our trip to the water park. They're FANTASTIC! The boys loved wearing them and they had a much easier time controlling their movement than they do in their traditional life jackets or floatie suits (not to mention that they don't have anything riding up their bums). Oh, and Wal-Mart has the same jacket by the same manufacturer with different prints for around $15.

FWIW, they've also been amazing for confidence building. Trent went from not wanting to put his face in the water to jumping in (going under in the process) within a day. Typical Mr. Independence, he won't jump in for a waiting person even with a life jacket on but he'll jump into open water with his floatie jacket since he can do that all by himself. He's practicing his swimming strokes on his own and can get himself into position while wearing his jacket. Trevor was highly reluctant but is paddling around unassisted in his now. I can't wait for the summer months because I'll finally be able to take them down to the lake whenever we like rather than waiting for someone to be available to assist.

 

We got ours at Walmart last year and they used them in our pool. I think they work better for older children, as they don't hold them up very well when they were 2. I am sure this year they will work better for mine.

They are labeled for 30-50 pounds so probably best for age 3-5.
