Prevacid...2mL once a day...a lot??

I'm starting my DDs on Prevacid tonight. They're 9 weeks (1 day old adjusted...today was my due date)...each between 6-7lbs. Anyway, when I went to pick up their meds at the pharmacy today and the dosage on the Prevacid bottle was 2mL once a day. This seemed like a lot to me, but maybe that's because all of their other dosages for vitamins/Zantac have been 0.5mL. I'm sure the prescribed amt is accurate I'm just being a worry-wart. For those of you using Prevacid, what are your dosages?? I'm just curious.

my sons each take 15 mg. once a day of prevacid. they take the granual packets

 

If you are concerned, I would either call your ped, or call the pharmacy, just to make sure. My babies were on the tablets for awhile, I am not sure of the dosage on the liquid.

 

I was told to disslove one t(red/pinkish) in 2ml of water. After it is dissolved (as best as it can be), give baby 1 ml through syringe. (is this making sense?) That is one dose per day.

He is 12 1/2 pounds.

We are also on the 15 mg. solutabs, so I don't know about the liquid. But I'm sure it goes by weight.

 

Hi, Kate is also on prevacide She started with 5ml in the morning and 5ml at night until she was 14 pounds after that I notice she not doing well. And my ped change her doseage to half a tablet in the morning and the other half 20-30 min at night.
