I'm 30 weeks 1 day pregnant with g/g twins, I usually only lurk around here (posted once), but I have a serious question for anyone willing to give me advice. I have some pressure "down there" and it seems to be not going away. I don't want to say that it's getting worse, but it definitely hurts. All I want to do is squeeze to make the pressure alleviate some, but it doesn't really help. Anyone have any advice? We had an ultrasound yesterday and the girls are great (3lbs 1oz, and 2lbs 13 oz), but I'm a little concerned about this pressure.

It is probably just a combo of the two babies and the fact they they are getting bigger. Maybe they have changed positions or you have been up and about too much. I would call the doc if you want to be safe but it is probably normal to some extent. If you lay down and rest is the feeling still there? Are you having any other problems? If so I would call today but if not maybe just wait till your next appt. It is your body...trust your worries and concerns!!!

Oh yes! I remember those days!!! the pressure was awful! I just knew that at any minute Addison (babyA) was just going to fall out (or at least wave at me!)
I had a hard time walking towards the end! I also think it is because of the weight/positions of the babies. My OB told me that your body does not know how far along you are - but it does know how heavy the babies + fluid+ sacs+placentas are and if you combine all of that technically you have more weight at this point than most full term singleton mothers. hence the pressure and other symptoms that most singleton moms don't feel until the very end (or ever!)

it is always a good idea to at least call your dr with any question or concern - that is what they are there for AND it will set your mind at ease!!

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Does the pressure ever let up and then get worse or just a constant pressure? My contractions always felt like "toot cramps" as I call them when they started. But they went away and then would come back it was never a constant.
I would say, if it is constant, it is the babies just making themselves comfy in there but if you don't feel comfortable waiting call your doctor. I am going to guess they have had ppl call for less and I always go with the "better safe than sorry" theory.
Good luck and hope all is well!

I am actually 30 weeks and 1 day today also! I too have pressure down there and also I have a LOT of pain in my pubic bone, to the point where I can't lift my legs up to walk. The sensation of pressure came on quickly for me, and plus I am having lots of contractions, real ones, they hurt sometimes. I called my doctor as SOON as I felt this pressure and he asked if I had any bleeding or spotting, or gush of water... I said No. He said it is probably the babies adjusting themselves for delivery... YES they can start that now. If you are worried, CALL YOUR DOCTOR! That is what they are there for! They won't be mad or irritated, better to be safe than sorry. You are getting to the point in your pregnancy where things are gonna get uncomfortable- that's what a girlfriend of mine that has twins told me. She delivered naturally at 38 weeks! She said she started feeling funny pressure down there around this time too. Again, call your doctor. They may ask you to come in and check your cervix to make sure nothing is going on. No worries. Best of luck with your little ladies!!

If in doubt, always call your doctor.

Definitely ask your Dr about it!
When I asked mine he just smiled and said my 'pelvis was coming apart'.... Grrrreat right? He said it's like you're held together by glue and duct tape and that now the glue is starting to come apart but the duct tape will still hold everything together but let it stretch. I suppose all of that has to soften and get ready for birth at some time. Does it almost feel like someone is pulling you from the inside toward each hip? Mine did. It's slacked off some now but still bothers me off and on.
