I would probably guess the pressure you are feeling are growing pains at your stage in pregnancy. Is it painful? If you are concerned I would call your Dr, peace of mind can really go a long way.

My belly button never actually "popped" but it did get flat. I had a belly button ring before I got pregnant and I think I took it out at about 12 weeks because it looked silly.

I would assume the "pressure" is from stretching and stuff too, but I never had that with my twins (first pregnancy), but I had a lot of it around 25 weeks with this pregnancy. but, definitely call your dr. if you are concerned about anything. i had mine on speed dial when I was pregnant with the twins...lol! No question is stupid if YOU are concerned.

My belly button never "popped" with the twins, never even made it to flat.

I had pressure and braxton hicks really early with my twin pregnancy. That was before I knew it was twins! I remember helping a girlfriend paint her living room and having to take a bunch of breaks because of cramping. It all started around 13-14 weeks. I carried my babies to 39 1/2 weeks so don't be worried. I think it's just your body telling you when to take it easy.

    Good Luck!

I felt that way a lot right around that time. Especially if I had been sitting at my desk and then got up, it did get better or maybe I just got used to it but I definitely remember feeling the pressure.

Can't really answer the pressure question except to say do check with your doc if you continue to feel concerned about it. I was having what I thought were "braxton-hicks" with my second pregnancy (had them from week 16 on with my first pregnancy too - they were painless!), but my doc caught one in the middle of an appointment and sent me straight to the hospital where I was treated for preterm labor and did bedrest. It wasn't really pressure though, it was more of a tightening just in the front of the belly. (We still made it to 39w6d.)

As for belly buttons. . . mine never went back to normal after having the first baby! Am I one of the few whose belly buttons were obliterated for good with pregnancy?! I think everybody's does something different, so never fear my fate! Most I've seen look more normal after pregnancy than mine. :)

When in doubt, call the doctor. That is my motto. Are you swollen? Just curious.

i guess since my appt is wednesday i'll just wait to see the doc instead of calling. im so going to demand an u/s. i need to see them both and know that they're both growing and doing well. a doppler isnt gonna cut it with 2 babies in me. if i only had 1 then i would feel differently, or at least be more willing to settle for hearing a hb on the doppler. if they wont give me 1 im gonna go crazy on them.

what do you mean by swollen? in what area? my belly sometimes feels swollen and heavy..like a have alot of gas or something. its odd.

Hello. I'm almost 20 weeks and I had pressure at that time as well. I didn't when I was pregnant with my daughter, which
was a single pregnancy. It's just a different ball game with 2. I've been thinking the same thing! Please be careful.
I was picking up my daughter a lot and just over all over doing it. My Dr's said I was over doing it and to really take it
easy. The pressure happens for me when I've been on my feet to long. Some times just doing daily house chores
I notice the pressure coming on, then I go lay down when this happens. Laying down always helps for me.
As for the belly button. I think everyone is different. It didn't happen for me on my first pregnancy. But who knows,
it could this one? But it hasn't yet- I hope this helps.

I agree with the "when in doubt, call" philosophy. As for belly buttons, mine never popped :)

from the minute the test was + I felt like I was being stabbed in the vagina! and it lasted until the spinal kicked in the day they were delivered! at the end it felt like I was being stabbed down there and like at any minute Addison's foot was going to come out!(she was breech) I felt more pressure w/ the twins than I ever did w/ my singletons. I do think you are very smart to insist on an ultrasound! I would too!! keep us posted!
