What kind of pressure? If you're not sure- you should always call the doctor on call or call your local hospitals Labor & Delivery ward and talk with one of the nurses they can let you know for sure :)

When was your last check. If I recall, at about 17 or 18 weeks I called my doctor and told him i thought the babies were falling out. I felt so much pressure. He said it is very normal and unless I was contracting or having any bleeding that I was probally fine. This is my 4th pregnancy and I just never remembered the pressure with my singletons. I would think it is pretty normal, however, if you are worried I would call your doctor just to be sure and ease your mind. I remember it lasted for about only a week or so and then I felt much better. Good Luck

I just had my last check last Tuesday, which was our anatomy scan.. both babies fine and according to the ultrasound my cervix was long and closed... the pressure is much more prominent when I have to go to the bathroom (to pee or otherwise)... and then afterwards I feel much better.. I just am curious because I know that pressure is never supposed to be a good sign.. I feel like I am always calling the doc about these types of things because I just don't want something to go wrong and then realize later that I could've prevented something from happening... we're supposed to be going on a 3 1/2 hour car ride tomorrow and I'm a bit nervous about the strain it will put on my body.. especially if the pressure is indicative of something more than just the increasing weight of the babies... do you think that an ultrasound a couple of days ago would've picked up any problems that would indicate preterm labor?? If so.. then how fast does can it change?? Thanks Ladies for your input!!!! :)

Things can change very quickly in some cases. i can't really understand that it is only pressure when you pee. I would call the oncall doc this weekend and just run it past them. It doesn't hurt. You are the patient and you pay the bills to have these doctors specialize in your care. My doctor told me to always call him if I had any concerns. Also, for the road trip, make sure you stop every 45 minutes to an hour just to walk around for a bit. If you don't you will probally come up with some swelling of your feet due to sitting for a prolonge period of time. Ease your mind and call!!!

Thanks for your replies! I did call the doctor on call yesterday and he did seem to think it was normal for a twin pregnancy but he did say that obviously there really is no way to know for sure unless I get checked out. So, I have a call in today to see if I should come in. I hate feeling like I'm constantly calling, but there really is no way for me to know what's normal or not with these types of symptoms.

Always better to err on the side of caution & call in :good: Don't ever feel like you are calling in too much...that is what the Dr's get paid for!!
Keep us posted on how you are doing

I talked to a nurse from my doctor's office and she said that it is pressure from the weight of the babies and that I need to look into getting a maternity support. Hopefully that helps! I guess that makes sense with the weight of the babies because I feel like I run like heck to the bathroom everytime I have to go because I feel like the pressure on my bladder is so intense!!! Thanks guys!!!
