My pregnancy is quickly coming to an end as my boys will be born either this coming week or the following depending on whether they cooperate for a vaginal delivery (still keeping my fingers crossed)! This is my second pregnancy so I wasn't as good at writing down everything that I did with my first, but I think part of it had to do with the fact that there was not much of this pregnancy that was super enjoyable, and I even had it good compared to a lot of you. I have taken some pics, but was wondering if any of you did anything that you were so glad you did, or had things you wished you had done and didn't to preserve memories of your pregnancy. I am thinking this is my last pregnancy which makes me sad, but I'm not so sure I could handle 4 kids!! I just don't want to look back in 5 years and say "I wish I had done that". Thanks in advance!!

With my daughter, I started a scrapbook when she was sleeping more during the day. I just kept all the pics I took during the pregnancy like my belly shots, and the notes of what I gained, how big the babies were and all that, and put it into a scrapbook. That consited of the first few pages of her book which then became her first year book. I look at it from time to time and it will be really nice to give my daughter one day (maybe when she becomes a mommy). I plan on doing the same for the twins, but probably not as fancy since I will have to make two books, but still something to give them when they get older that shows the experience.

i think it's definitely a great idea to do something. i just wrote things down in a journal - i've been thinking of going back & digging out all the email updates i sent while i was pregnant & printing them off.

as someone who lost their mom before getting pregnant myself, i'm hoping to have something to give my girls so that they'll have some idea as to what pregnancy was like for me even if i'm not around to ask in person. i just have so many questions that i can't ask my mom now, and my dad, as much as i love him, doesn't have a clue! ;)

I did a blog, and still do one. I consider it a 'new age' Memory book for them! :) Dh and I both contribute and we post videos, pics and slideshows.

I put together a memory book/baby book. I note how each of my Dr appts go - weight gain, baby's movements etc and then during the labor/hospital I write down what happened at what time. The one thing I really want to do for this pregnancy is make a belly cast. Another member posted in the expecting forums how to do them and the responses were really good. There is also lots of information on the internet for doing them.

I found that I only wrote in the journal once a month or so, not very helpful! So I went through the hundreds of emails I sent my mom and husband and printed out the ones I thought described what I was going through. Mom did a similar thing when I was living abroad.

I'm planning on copying some of my blog text that involved pregnancy updates and putting it into a book for the boys. We did some professional maternity pics and those will go into the books along with their newborn pictures. I had thought about doing a belly cast but have no idea what I would do with it once it was done. I know I wouldn't hang it up in the house so it would probably sit in the attic collecting dust.
