So I am freaking out now.. we went to Target tonight (it is late here 815 ish, but with the time change seems like 915 ish still) so DH is pushing DS (preschooler who will be 5 in the middle of Jan.) in the cart and says to me.. "Look at his color" he thought he looked yellowish and also thought his eyes looked sunken... well I thought maybe he was a little "drained and wore out, tired" and thought maybe a little pale (due to the time and all, busy day at the zoo too).. BUT now I am freaking out thinking "what if he is malnurished or something?'' He has been going thru weird eating periods.. but I thought drs. recommend pushing what they will eat and whenever they want..

So I am really scared all of the sudden, I am going to try to get him seen tomorrow to make sure all is well and that he is on track and all.. He his yearly check up in feb/march and all was well.. and had his 4 year old shots in July.. but no dr. visits since cause we are lucky to be well most of the time..

Just wondering what your preschoolers are weighting?? He is like 41" and 37-39 pounds... I checked charts online but I am soo worried they are just not even helping at all right now...

My dd is no comparison, she has been 95% for height and weight since birth. At age 3 she was 39 lbs and 40 1/2 inches.

Check the CDC growth charts ... they're good!

If you think something's wrong, go to the pediatrician. The doctor has a record of his height and weight and that can show if he is going off his growth curve.

He sounds about the size of my girls and they are big. Definitely get into the pedi if you are worried but I doubt he's malnourished. All preschoolers get into weird eating jags. :hug99:

He is the same age as my boys. They are about 44 inches tall & they weigh 40 lbs. I bet he was just tired. Call the Dr if you are worried.

His height and weight sound proportionate so he should be okay. If you have any concerns about his health though make sure you get him in. Do you have him take a multivitamin?
