DH is away at a conference and I've had a very frustrating week and half with my girls. I need some help remembering what is so great about this age!

    So please finish this sentence.

    Preschool twins are great because...

... they are enthusiastic and curious.
    ... they can feed themselves.
... they (mostly) sleep through the night.
... they will hug and kiss you as many times as you ask.

Will anyone report me if I say that around 3 to 4, their bath time was much better if I had a small glass of wine while they soaked?!

... their mommy is still the light of their world and is the best one to cuddle with.
... we can begin to see who they are as little people instead of little babies.

When again in our lives will we ever have two two-year-olds? (Okay, those multiple - multipl - mommies can count it more than once!) :D

You can actually have conversations with them.
They can do so much more on their own.
They can walk and (for the most part) not run away every second.
They can get their own shoes on, woohoo!

My boys are turning three next week and I am so excited! I just have to remind myself that they are too small to go at my pace and that everything is new and they are discovering it and want to share it with me. It is when I have a time crunch that we start to have a hard time.

You can take them places without bringing a truckload of stuff.

You can rest while they play outside, because you don't have to worry about them falling off everything they climbed on.

No more HIGH CHAIRS (My #1 arch-enemy)

The unsolicited hugs & kisses & I Love You's are the best, hands down.

You can teach them things you actually REMEMBER your parents teaching you. Just this week, I showed the girls how to blow on a dandelion (or is it a daffodil?). I can remember my mom showing me, around the same age. With any luck, they'll have the same memory.

    Hey!
    You're all right!
I knew you guy would make me feel better.
I love that we don't have to pack to go into town anymore, and I can take a book when we go to the playground.
They can put on their own shoes if I allow 20 minutes for that.
They do give loads of hugs and kisses.
And all those other things you said.

    Also--DH will be home tomorrow!!!
Yeah and I have to work this Saturday, which the rest of the staff is moaning about my I'm happy cause it will be daddy's turn to spend all day with them! :p

I ditto all those things, as well as your moment of need - it can be so tiring but 4 is SO much better than 3 was at our house - loving all that independence!

Hope work goes well and Daddy-duty goes well :D

I can soooo relate. I needed this as well! My DH was out of town this week too. He has been traveling a lot on business lately. Thanks for making me remember what is important. I am counting the days until they turn 4 because everyone keeps saying it'll be a bit better.
