We are moving back stateside and the girls will be leaving their German preschool (super sad!). I've been looking at different preschool programs in Texas and they are all far too expensive. We could afford it, but I feel like it would be more beneficial to allow them to do extracurricular activities (gymnastics, soccer, art class, dance) and do preschool at home. Does anyone have good resources that I could use in developing a preschool curriculum for my girls?

Did you check out the homeschooling us forum? There was a ton of great links. I'm on my phone or I would link you up.

Not sure if this link is there, http://www.jumpstart.com/parents/activities/activities-4-year-old
but looks like they have some cool stuff, even in the K section.

Thanks for the link to the jumpstart site. I love the fact it has Canadian content. I've chosen not to send my kids to J-K so I'm always hunting for activities.

I do a homeschool preschool group with 3 other moms. We each take a month and do M, W, and F from 9am to noon. It is simple and easy and fun. The kids are learning their ABC's and 123's and having a great time. If you want to know more just ask away! but it sounds like people are already pointing you in the right direction.

Have you looked into church preschools or coop? We wouldn't have done a regular preschool either but we found a church coop that is very affordable, just have to go help once a month.

But you can definitely do it at home, if you think you can handle it. For us, we liked the preschool setting more than extra activities (which frankly they were not mature enough to enjoy when we tried last year). I have a hard time teaching them anything though, they seem to learn better when it comes from someone else.
