preqant with twinsz

heyy everyone. my name iz alyssa && yestarday i just found out that i was preqant with twinsz. :icon_biggrin: im bout 9 weeksz so far....im so scared && but excited...im only 17 so im kinda worried bout what i could do to keep in shape and try to keep these babiesz inside past 36 weeksz if i can. can anyone qive me advice bout twinsz && preqancy plz?

I agree it is very normal to be scared. Having twins is very rewarding, but its definitely a lot of work. I hope that you have the support of your SO and Family. You will find a ton of info on this site pertaining to everything you would every want to know when it comes to twins, TS is a great community.

yeah itsz like everyone around me iz so excited && happy and im kinda sittinq back here like okk im happy too but im so scared....im hopinq i can try to qet past the 36 weeksz cuz i want the babiesz to come home as soon as possible.

I think you will be surprised at how many people go past 36 weeks with twin pregnancies!

yes my family && my boyfriendsz plus friendsz are really excited. they already qoinq out and buyinq me crap and spolinq me.

hey thanxsz. yeah ive been checkinq up on alot of sites to see what i could....i just went to the doctersz yestarday and thats when i found out bout the twinsz. i cant wait till i find out the sexes of the babies. im really hopinq i qo past the 36 weeksz cuz i want the babies really heathly and able to come home with me soon

 

I'm sorry you are so worried about going to 36 weeks. Is there any reason for this worry? Was there a reason you went to get an u/s so early on?

no i just think i want to make sure i do best and make them as heathly as they can i think. and no my mom wanted to qo ahead and qet a u/s

:hug99: It's a worry every mom has, and it's totally normal. As long as you take good care of yourself, and like the previous poster mentioned, drink alot of water, all you can do is hope everything goes okay. If you ever have any concerns call your doctor.

im still thinking of names for my twins. even though i do know the sex of the babies yet, i still want to pick out names. if anyone, will someone help me think of some names? i would appreciate it BIG TIME.

Hi There! Congrats on your miracle. When I was 17 one baby would have been a huge shock...but TWO :blink: ???!!! I'd have been a huge mess. How are you dealing with this? What does the father think? Is your family supportive? Do you have good insurance? I know one thing you have going for you that I don't....and that's the beautiful energy of YOUTH! Cheers to that!

Before I had my twins I was a high school teacher in Brooklyn NY. I was wondering if you finished High school yet, or what you are going to do about school.

Hi Alyssa, My heart goes out to you :hug99: I was excited when I first found out I was having twins, but then I started reading up on twin pregnancies and got scared. Since I've been hearing from people that have actually been there, I feel a lot better. My sister had her first when she was 17, and she said it was the shock of her life. I would try to make as many connections with people who are in the same situation that you will be. Having kids doesn't have to be death to your social life, but if all your friends are still basically kids, and you're having to grow up on hyper speed, it can be really hard. Always remember that being a good mom is more about wanting to, than about how old you are. It's great to take advice, but don't let anyone ignore what you think is best for your children just because you're younger. You'll do great! I know a lot of young moms who are raising fantastic kids!

thank you yeah i was in shock when they said i was having twins espically since im 17. but my boyfriend is very happy && excited. i have lots of family support from my family, his family && then lots of my friends are helping me out. i do have insurance.

im going to see if i can go back to school for a lil bit this year and see my friends just a lil bit longer then prolly try homeschooling for the rest of the time so i can be with the babies

thank you very much for your help. i appreciate this BIG TIME!!! yeah its gonna be hard since i have to grown up a whole lot faster but i still have my bestfriend since i was little and she has a 7 month old lil girl so she is a big help && influence on me. ive helped my mom since i was little raising my two sisters
