Preparing Hospital Bag Question

Hi There,
Just wondering when is a good time to start preparing the Hospital Bag? At 7 months? earlier (6 months)? Later (8 months)? Just wondering. I want to be sure I'm ready.

I think I had mine packed by 28 weeks. But honestly I didn't end up using most of the stuff that I packed so don't stress about it too much.

 

It is on my list of things to get done this weekend. I've got lists of lists but I think packing for my little boy (in case he needs to go to some friends house) and me and babies is top priority oh, just below TAXES!

I got by with very very little last time. I went in at 30 weeks cause my water broke with a toothbrush and a hairbrush (lol). I managed. Of course before having him my hubby did bring me some socks! My feet were FREEZING! I really just used their stuff except to come hime in. No sense getting my clothes all messy!

I packed my bag at 28 weeks - everyone kept saying that my babies would come early!! they held out until 38 weeks - but knowing I was ready just in case was great!! I didn't want to have to rely on dh to find things in a pinch!!! I cannot even imagine what he would have thrown together! He probably would have grabbed the one thong that I own (but never wear It was a gag gift!)!!!! I just kept my bag in the babies room and added things here and there!

 

I go in for my c-section on Tuesday (in 4 days) and haven't packed mine yet! But I'm going to do it this weekend! In my defense, I don't think I need much, the hospital provides just about everything. And we only live about 15 minutes from the hospital, so anything I need my husband or mom can go get for me. I'm thinking I'll pack some undies/bras, socks, maybe a robe and slippers, an outfit to come home in, and outfits for the babies.

What else would I absolutely need?

I think I packed mine at 32 weeks, but like PP said, I used hardly any of it, so don't stress out. I wore all the hospitals clothes because I decided I would rather wreck their stuff than mine.

 

yup..I agree with the "not stressing" it part of things. I totally did with my DS, but I haven't even thought about it yet with these guys! Most of the stuff you'd want to bring you probably use regularly--like your toiletries, robe etc...so there's not much use in packing them now. Just have a little list ready, so when the time comes...you won't be panicked about what to bring!
