Ive been so tired, I did jut take it, but just wondering if any of you have forgot to take it for a few days, and if im risking anything by forgeting.... just want to calm my nerves and all! :winking0009:

I think you are okay if you forget now and then, but I would try and take them at the same time everyday.

I always took it right after I ate breakfast so I wouldn't forget. Maybe put them on your bedside table and take it right before bed?

I know I have forgotten a day or two. Now I keep them by where I eat breakfast, so I remember to take one as soon as I am done eating. I think you'll be alright.

i have missed quite a few days before. while it's important overall to take them, i think missing a few days is probably fine.

I never took my prenatals. I would throw them up within one minute of swallowing them. I asked my ob about it at the time and she just said to make sure my diet was good. I'm sure missing a day here or there is fine.

I'm terrible, I'll admit. I think I completely forget for days on end earlier in this pregancy, nothing new for me. But I've gotten much better about now. I try to take them when I think about them or just before bed.

I would forget mine. I always took them at night before bed. There were many nights when I was so sick, I couldn't take them. My babies are fine. Maybe you could put them in a place that you see all the time to remind you to take them. By the sink or in the kitchen somewhere or maybe on top of the TV. Don't worry, I am sure you are fine.

I didn't forget because I didn't take them with both of my pregnancies. I was sick too much and they made me constipated. My OB was ok with it as long as I look folic acid which I did every day. :)

I keep mine in the bathroom along with my calcium pills. That way I do my business turn around and the pills are all right there near the sink so I can get water and take them before getting into bed.

I had forgotten a few times in all 3 pregnancies, but not that I have to take the calcium pills for my leg cramps I usually remember.

I can't imagine not frgetting now and then! I obviously take them regularly, but I like every other person I have ever known forget occassionally. I try taking them at the same time of day. Not nececssarily the same time, but when I am getting ready for bed I take them. I find that since it is part of my routine I usually remember.

In terms of causing harm by missing a few, I don't think you have anything to worry about. The fact that you are concerned shows that you are probably taking good care of yourself. If you can try eating a balanced and varied diet you will get most of your vitamins naturally, and your vitamin just becomes and insurance policy in case you are short somewhere!

With both of my pregnancies I couldn't take standard prenatal vitamins so I started taking Flintstones Complete. When I told my OB, he said Flintstones are wonderful vitamins and usually won't make you nauseated- BONUS! ( I still take them every day) Also, they taste so good I rarely ever forgot to take them. I also left them on my nightstand beside the bed so They were there when I woke up or went to bed. It's often better for your tummy to take them before bed anyway. DOn't sweat missing a vitamin or 3, your babies will be fine.

Kelly- had to chuckle over the flinstones thing....my kids eat those now and there are days when I'm tempted to swipe one!! :p

Thank you so much for posting this thread.. I have had such incredible guilt over being really BAD about taking my vitamins this pg. I don't even have nausea as an excuse...just pure laziness...nothing else... Just haven't gotten into the habit of taking them at a certain time.

With my twins I took them religiously every evening...same thing with first dd. Then this pg I got to think that maybe that's what triggered my really bad heartburn in the evenings with both those pgs. So I decided to switch and take them at lunch time... WEll, you know with three kids and lunch time being really hectic it's easy to forget... I've taken them about 75% of the days during this pg.... But I'm sure there's a good 20-25% of the days where I haven't remembered. And I do feel soooo guilty...but now you made me feel better that I'm not the only one!! I do drink plenty of OJ...and I wasn't anemic when I was gushing blood in my first trimester..so I'm probably okay on the iron count too... as far as a "healthy" diet... umm.... well, I could probably be better there... I guess a klondike bar doesn't have much nutritional value right???... I did some salad at lunch..but I think at most I fit greens in just once a day. With my first dd I craved broccoli all the time...of all the things!!! Maybe that's why she was born at 8lbs 1oz!!! Maybe I'm subconsciously going the junk food route in effort to make a slightly smaller baby! ???... LOL!

I was very good about taking prentals while TTC but once I got pregnant, the morning sickness started and I was having horrible problems not gagging on the vitamins, and then would throw up! I'm still gaggy at 26 weeks. So I got the ok from my OB to take childrens' gummy vites, just double the dose. No problem getting those down and they're tasty!

I just keep them on my bedside table. I take them every night before i go to bed. I also had to switch to just a regular vitamin because prenatals made me so sick i couldn't even stand it. As long as they have the recommended mg of folic acid it is ok.

24 wks and 3 days pregnant with identical twin boys!
