When my DS were born we discovered it was easier for us to premix our bottles for them. In the beginning we had to warm the formula so it would not give them a belly ache. Now they are 8 months old nearly and we have been trying to not warm them as much so that they will be use to cold milk. Is this what others did or did you have a better plan. They don't seem to have a problem with the change in warmth. Still making nighttime bottle warm so it won't mess with their sleeping all night.

I will be glad I think to not have to mix formula for the bottle just pouring it out of the jug will be nice. Although I will still have to keep up with that chore also. Just no Mixing Just Pouring

I am wondering the same thing. Although mine are a little older than yours. I am still warming their milk. Especially dd..she has reflux and she tends to drink more when it's warm. I've left it cold sometimes for ds and he doesn't seem to mind. I'm curious to see what others say about this too.

My girls are almost 7 months now. We gave them room temperature at first, then when they were about two weeks old, started mixing in batches and giving it to them cold. We never had a problem and still don't.

We mix batches of formula in the blender, then let it sit in a the fridge for a while to defroth. Fill bottles, and repeat!

We're lucky though, and we know it and are very grateful for the easy-going nature and the tolerant digestive systems of both our girls.

Hopefully yours will do well with them cold, too!

We did room temp for about 3 months then I started just giving it right out of the fridge. They did fine. It kind of backfired because when they started eating warm foods (like pasta) they had to wait until it was room temp or they didn't like it. Many times I give them their veggies right out of the fridge now too.

I think it's a great idea to start "weaning" them from warm formula b/c it will be a pain to warm milk in sippies.

It is a good idea to start weaning them from warm bottles before they start milk. Ours did fine with the change once they got used to it. Good luck!

Mine have always drank them cold. Straight from the fridge! It was easier to make a lot of bottles first thing in the morning and then jus grab them when we needed. They never minded :)

Around 8 months or so, instead of making each bottle when I needed it (that way I didnt have to warm them) I went to making all of the bottles ahead of time the night before and leaving them in the fridge for the next day. I decided to give it to them cold one day and they were fine with it. Much, much easier.

I did room temp bottles for my kids, adding the water to the powder as needed. It's fine to give it to them cold! You are getting them ready for the transition to milk!

Well they are not on milk yet i just dont want the transition to be hard on them. I guess i could try and see if they will drink them cold and see how they do. I know i tried just making them room temp and they had a hard time burping afterwards and then the belly ache and fussy fussy it was not worth the problem. So i guess i will just jump forward and see if not I guess a slow process of working their way to cold. Thank any advice is great

We keep the bottles in the fridge and just warm them enough to knock the chill off, but FAR from warm. I tried straight cold at first but they didnt' seem to drink them good. I'm planning in the next month or so to wean from even that little bit of warmth and try them on cold again! :) Good luck!
