    Hello,
I am new to this site. My husband and I are expecting twins in late Oct. We currently have a 4 y/o son who was born at 26 weeks. Of course I am afraid that these two will come early. My goal is to make it to 36 weeks with these twins. I currently have a cerclage put in because of some issues I had during my pregnancy with my son. Does anyone have any advice for me.

:sign0016: to TS, congratulations on your twin pregnancy! Try and take it one day at a time. Lots of rest, and lots of water! :hug99:

Welcome to TS! My best advice for you is to try not to worry too much. I know that is hard to do some times, but it really does help. Lots of water - and rest when and as much as you can.

Thanks alot. Everyday I worry about these two little ones. I am so scared. About a week ago, I was having so many contractions I thought that it was all over. I went and got looked at and the dr said that there was no cervical change and that the babies looked good and that everything was fine. The pains lasted for about 4 hours and it felt like forever. Did you ladies have a vaginal delivery or c-sect?

Hi! Welcome to TS and congrats on your twins!!!
I had my twins a little over a year ago and they are my first. They were born at 28 weeks. (After I spent 6 weeks in the hospital) When we found out we were expecting again we were terrified! So far so good, I'll be 28 weeks next Tuesday and this pregnancy has been TOTALLY different. I must admit I am a bit paranoid about every little twitch but I have a great Dr.

    Are you seeing a Peri.?
    Are you taking Progesterone injections?
Those are two things I am doing differently with this pregnancy.

Other than that drink lots of water and don't just rest when you can, MAKE time every day to lay down for awhile and take it easy.

    Best of luck to you...

I too had a cerclage… and a son born premature… and I made it 36 w and 4 day with my twins (full moon as I predicted)… no NICU straight to my room…

GL this is a great sight… lots of great ladies (as you can already see)

Hello! I don't have any advice as I'm not as far along as you but just wanted to say glad you're here and I love your cute little kitten avatar! I wish you peace of mind and a healthy pregnancy - congratulations on your twins, keep posting and try not to be scared!

    Hugs,
    Molly

    Congratulations!

I agree with the others: lots of water (about 80+ ounces per day/10+ glasses), rest as much as you can, rest when you get your contractions, and try not to walk too much (that's what always increases my contractions). If you get contractions then recline with your feet up to take the pressure off your cervix. Also, a good diet helps.

I'm also not as far into pregnancy as compared to you, but I can't stress more on the importance of fluid during pregnancy. Most importantly, if you are trying to keep weight up, make every sip you take count, take juice, milk, soup, broth, whatever, to satisfy both fluid and energy needs. I find that very helpful.

Last but not least, congrats on the twins, and take care!!

It can be scary to find out you are having twins, but hang in there! I live super close to you, you can always write me and we can talk. :D
Don't go crazy researching everything online or you will make yourself nuts!

My first set of twins were born at 26 weeks. We had a long NICU stay but they are 100% healthy. I'm only 10 weeks a long but this pregnancy is already a lot different. No MORNING SICKNESS!!!!! YAYAYA!!! Anyway. i have no advise but i'm going through the same thing you are. PM we can talk about our worries and concerns. I can also offer lots of twin advise if you need. Hope to talk to you soon!!!
