Pregnant Again?

Okay so the twins are 2.5 months and the hubby and me are just getting back into a sex life, whatever that means with twins, right? Anyway I am scared to death EVERY TIME afterwards about getting pregnant! Can you imagine? I mean, we kiss and I am freakin like "OMG Am I pregnant now?" Anyone else feel this way? We have a 5 year old, so the kids are spaced far apart, but I could just imagine what all our friends and families would think if we got pregnant again.. This morning I told the hubby to call and make a vasectomy (sp?) appointment.. Of course I just started up the pill again a couple weeks ago, but I am so nervous that I haven't been on long enough or that it will fail.. anyway.

 

I worried like that when I first got my IUD in.

 

I am with you on that one! When the boys were 5 months old, I thought I was pregnant again. You should have seen the look on the cashiers face when I bought the pg test while rolling the side by side stroller back and forth!! I'm on the pill, but I made my husband buy condoms just in case!!

I would ABSOLUTELY die! Mine are 18 weeks and I won't even go near the bedroom until these guys are in college!! Honestly, I will not do this again. I love them but THIS IS IT for us! No doubt!

 

The first time we actually did anything was exactly 2.5 months after having the twins due to both being tired and wanting to make sure the pill was thouroghly in my system. His exact words after was "I hope you are current on your pills" (How romantic) Yup I was so being pregnant didn't cross my mind but sure enough that one time was the charm. It seems like everytime we have sex I get pregnant. I was dying buying the test and didn't even have the babies with me.

 

During a cat nap (which is all I reall get!) the other day, I had a dream I was pregnant again. Let me add- NOT EVEN POSSIBLE! I woke up in a cold sweat and told DH to make his appointment and SOON! I love my kids, but I am feeeling very complete!

 

I worried about that all the time in the beginning it was my biggest fear. Even thought I'm on the pill and its only been 6 months I've already taken 3 pregnacy tests! Seriously I was super paranoid.

I worry about it also - however I would love one more, just not right now. DH will never agree though because we can't afford it, have no bedrooms left plus my last 2 pgs have been with twins. I won't even mind twins again and that's a major statement coming from me considering I cried for a month when I found out. My twins are such good babies though and having twins has been a really neat experience! It sometimes surprises me how adament some ladies on here are about no more kids after twins. It saddens me that it has been such a rough experience for some. I do think the 1st child (and 2nd, if twins) are the hardest because having kids changes every aspect of your life and it takes a while to adjust.

 

Even though I needed IVF to get pregnant with the twins, I still had a tubal during my c-section - that's how worried I was about getting pregnant again! I knew that these would be our first, last and only babies. I'm over 30 and just knew that this was it for us.

 

I'm so scared! I've been nauseas the past three days and even though my DH was deployed for the first 80 days I was on the pill, I'm still terrified. AF visited last week, so I'm pretty sure I'm safe. If my bbies start to hurt in the next week, I'm getting a test! We definitely want more (in about 3 years and after we win the lottery) but right now would be terrifying!

 

Oh yes! Me me! I got my tubes tied in January, but I am still taking the pill! I am terrified!

BTW, I think that your boys are absolutely adorable, and I love their names!
