My boys are 14 months old (11.5 months corrected) and I just found out I'm expecting again. This was not planned, but is definitely a welcome surprise! We tried for two years the first time and had to do IUI.

The boys will be 22 months when this baby is born. I can't imagine life with a newborn and twin two year olds. Any advice from parents who have been there? Will we survive?!

I haven't been in the same situation but I just wanted to say congratulations. In the early months you'll have to enlist lots of help from grandparents, etc. but I think in the long term it will be wonderful to have three children so close in age.

Yes you will survive! Aaron turned one six days before the twins were born and we didn't have any help except each other. We made it through and so will you! It's so great to see the three of them so close because they were born so close together. Aaron has never really known life without them. Once you get over the shock, you'll get really excited!

Visit the "pregnant after twins" forum under expecting! Congrats! I'm not exactly in your shoes, as my first and second pregnancies were spread out more and the 2nd one was planned, but I'm surviving with twins and a baby. You can do it!!

My DD has 15 month old twin boys and a 2 month old baby. She is currently staying with us, but until this past week she has done this mostly on her own, with little to no help from her SO. So, yes it can be done! And yes, you will survive!

This week has been physically exhausting for me but oh I admire and respect my daughter more than ever!!! We are excited to see the three little boys grow up together so close in age. Hopefully they will share the same interests and activities, making it easier on DD when she becomes a "soccer mom" LOL!

    Congrats and best wishes!!!

Mine were almost three when "little" Evan came along. He has been such a sweet baby! It really has been very good! :) Very doable! :)

How exciting for you !! I have twins at 8 months and would love another one soon. I think if you are going to go through the "terrible twos" you might as well do it with all of them and get it over with early. Great news !!

Thanks everybody! It is really great to hear words of encouragement. I am getting excited now, and trying to keep positive that everything will work out.

I had such a complicated twin pregnancy, that I don't know what it is like to have a normal one. I keep waiting for something to go wrong-and it is still very early! I imagine I will be a wreck at 24 weeks!

My son was 19mths when I had my twins. We have been doing it for almost 3mths now & it is hard but we're making it. We are military so never really have any family nearby but my sister is going to come to live with us to nanny for a few months. I'm not really a schedule type person so it is probably a little more difficult for me, I really don't leave the house much. Good luck you'll do just fine...

Hi-- You can do it! We have almost the same situation as you---we found out about our "surprise" little girl when our twin boys were 15 months old. We were in shock, but very excited once we got used to the idea.

Our third was a very laid-back baby, so that made it a lot easier. She was very easy going. And you're right--it is so much fun to have just one this time around!

We didn't have extra help really. I like to get out a lot, so I bought a triple stroller...that was a lifesaver for me. Hard to push, but it kept them contained when I needed them to be.

Our little girl is such a blessing and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way now that she's here! We had 3 under 2 for a month! :) Crazy (still is and they are 4 and 2) but SO worth it! They are all the best of friends!

Congratulations! This is such a blessing! My boys werew 26 months when our Molly girl came into this world and though it can be a lot of work at times it is a joy to have them all so close.

I'm in the exact same boat and posted a very similar, slightly panicked posting a couple of months ago when I found out. I'm still trying not to think too hard about the logistics and enjoy what I hope will be a much less eventful pregnancy. Everyone I've talked to says it's doable. Good luck!

My oldest two are exactly two years apart and it was completely doable. The twins are 3 years younger than my second child. If you have done twins - you can definitely do it. I found it much easier with singletons than twins - even though I would never change it for the world.

Congrats! Yes, you will survive. Our twins were 17 months when the new baby came. They will have each other to play with and entertain while you have to deal with the baby. Go to the pregnant after twins forum, it is very helpful.

I just wanted to say congratulations. My twins are 11 months and I am due any time now so I don't know how that will go. But on the bright side I have had a perfect wonderful uneventful pregnancy. Not one complaint even chasing babies around all day and getting things done I've felt great. Things seem to work themselves out and I hope you too will have an easy pregnancy after a hard twin pregnancy.

Congratulations and come visit the pregnant after twins forum. I'm just about in your same situation...my boys were 13 months old when I found out about my "pill" baby that's due in November!

Same here! Definitely visit the Pregnant After Twins forum!!! I got pregnant (planned) with Olivia when the twins turned 2, so they were just shy of 3 when she was born. Although, it's not quite the same as having 2 year old twins and a newborn...it's doable! You will get through it, just like anything else!!!

And, CONGRATS on getting pregnant on your own!!!! Seems like that happens a lot around here after using fertility treatments the first time :)

BTW, when Olivia was 2 months old, I had her, my 3 year old twins, a 2 and 4 year old daycare kids...and I'm STILL surviving...lol!!!!! So, I watch 5 kids under the age of 4 (she'll be 4 in Oct) for 10 hours a day!
