Yesterday morning we ran to the store. When we got home, I got out of the van and could hardly move. I have had a constant crampy feeling since then. I do pretty well when I am laying down and sometimes when I am sitting. But walking and standing is unbareable. Soooo, I was wondering if this pain I'm feeling is just because of my uterus growing and since I've had a c-section it's just causing my uterus to be a little more tender and that's why I hurt so bad. I haven't had any weird discharge or bleeding. I've just had a weird feeling this entire pregnancy and I just can't shake it. I'm hoping what I'm feeling is normal but I don't know. I thought about calling my OB today but there is no way I would be able to get over to see him until my appointment next week--I'm an hour from where he is located. My mom's worried and I'm worried, but I figure because I don't have any blood or weird discharge everything should be fine, and it's not like there is anything he could do if there is something wrong. I'm rambling I know, I'm sorry. I have other things on my mind right now but I needed to find out if this is normal. Oh, and according to my scale here at home I have lost 10 pounds now. ARGH!

Sorry to hear you are having pain. Can you call the OB office and just talk with a Nurse to see what they might suggest? The only advice I can give you is to maybe ask for a blessing. It could calm some of your fears and give you a little peace of mind.
    Hope you feel better soon.

I agree with newmom! I'd put in a call to triage at your clinic and see what they have to say! :hug99:

I agree with the PP's just incase they do want you to be seen either in their office or at the local ER. They may need to take look at your uterus...just to make sure it is holding up like it should! you take care of yourself and let us know what they say.

Like pp said, I too would call and see. The only "problem" I have with having a previous c-section is my skin gets REALLY itchy down where my incision is due to the stretching...but it's not painful. I did have a LOT of cramping until about 10 weeks with this pregnancy, but no bleeding or anything out of the ordinary. But, it was never bad enough that I questioned it.

Sorry to hear you have been feeling so sick still.

    Hi G-MOM:

I actually had a lot of very similiar pain during the first / second trimesters, also during walking and standing. Hopefully this isn't TMI for anyone, but when I had my first c-sec with the twins, the doc also decided to remove a ovarian cyst that was there.

Anyway, when I told my doc about the pain this time around, he said that my growing uterus was actaully stretching the scar tissue from that surgery. Once it has stretched to a certain point, the pain would subside. That's exactly what happened. So even if you didn't have what I had done, maybe there is some scar tissue from any previous surgery that is being affected?

It's a good sign that aren't having any other probs. Hope that helps!

Hey, I'm sorry to hear you are in pain, With my last Preg after the twins, I had a ton of cramping too, and started with Braxton hicks really early, I too was told it was due to excessive stretching and scar tissue and it did subside after a while...I would call your OB though, at least, if nothing else that can assure you it's normal. Try to take it easy (ha, ha with three at home!) But it sounds like maybe your mom is around...take advantage of her if you can and get off your feet for a bit! Good luck, you are in my prayers!

I get alot of heavyness and cramping around my scar. I had a really bad infection after my csection and it took 6 months to close, so wehn I get weird pains around that area I just chalk it up to stretching scar tissue. It is one of the questions I have from my Dr tomorrow.

I sometimes had a similar pain as well. There were a few times where it hurt so much I just needed to lay down and not move. If I tried to walk I was hunched over. I would definitely call to confirm with a nurse but it sounds a lot like what I had so maybe that can give you some solace.
