I thought I would be a good idea if we shared what items we've bought and tips that have made us more comfortable with carrying twins.

    Mine:
Even though I'm not that far along my absolute favorite item my DH bought me is the Sleep-to-grow pillow. I couldn't imagine sleeping are even sitting on the couch without it! You can bend it into all kinds of positions and later breastfeed with it. I wish I had one with my last pregnancy and know that I'll be still using it after I'm not pregnant anymore!!

    Anyone else?

I could'nt do it without my boppy maternity pillow. It gives my body and belly better support to sleep.

Its the coolest thing! Think two boppys with and little squishy pillow in the middle for your belly and you can take it appart later and use the two boppys separately. And it says its made esp. for moms to be carrying twins! Its made by leachco, I heard thar they were selling them at target! Also www.leachco.com but I'd look around at prices, mine was about $80 but sooooo worth it!

Ahhh, yes, good pillows. I also liked my memory foam mattress topper from Costco. Made those long days of bedrest a bit more comfy.

For me the full body size pillow was the best and allowed me to sleep and rest. I highly recommend it. Body Pillow

I LOVED my Snoogle body pillow. I didn't need it with my singleton pregnancy but it was a must have with the twins. That thing kept me comfortable all night and was the only pillow I needed.

I bought the Boppy pregnancy body pillow and it's too short for my torso. It curls around a few inches before it should. I don't dh will let me spend another $50 on something that will fit me better.

Anyway, my friend loaned me a back massager that sits on a regular chair. It's wonderful!!!

Also, this is going to sound weird, but I love my "manties." I'm referring to the regular plain white men's boxer shorts that I bought to wear under skirts and dresses. They are low-riding under the belly so they don't roll down like a lot of my undies, and the shorts-style protects my overgrown thighs (lovely that my thighs also grew with my belly) from chaffing.

  14. I have a U-shaped body pillow that I adore. I NEED it to sleep now! Love that thing.

The other thing I'm loving right now are sun dresses. My dh bought me a few for mothers day and that was before I knew I was having twins and they're comfy enough to grow into. Hoping they last me the summer so I don't have to buy any maturnity clothes until fall since I'm due in Dec.

Any favorite brands of maturnity clothing?

I never got any of those fancy maternity pillows, but after reading all of your posts now I wish I had!! I LOVED my Temperpedic mattress...it was wonderful (until I was put in an uncomfortable hospital bed for a month!). I would also have to say that pedicures were a pregnancy must have for me...

Hmmm I'm going to have to splurge on a pedi someday (never had one!)

Also loving lately: bedtime mug of chai.
    Mmmmmm goodnight!

I have to second the pedicures. Especially when you can't reach your feet anymore!

As far as favorite brands of maternity clothes, I'd have to say Motherhood Maternity and Target. Mostly because they are cheap but pretty stylish at the same time! :) Buy big! I'm only 22 weeks, and I'm usually a size M, but I'm already wearing an XL. I am thinking my new favorite brand soon will be Coleman, as in tents! :)

I agree with the pedis! They are one of the only things that helps me to just kick back and say, "aaaaah" in comfort and relief. :)

I also like Motherhood maternity clothes. I have some from Gap, too, that I really like. I started out as medium, now am wearing/outgrowing large, and am also starting to wear some extra large.

I love the "manties" idea. I have to do that because I love wearing dresses becasue they are cooler, but I'm also getting the chaffing issue!

I also think motherhood is the best. They are reasonably priced and they have plus sizes, which I have already hit thanks to my ridiculous chest and the belly is not far behind!

I am so going to have to try the "manties" thing!! I also forgot to mention my huge preggo undies too. With my last 2 pregnancies I wore regular undies and was so uncomfortable. They would pinch and roll down like you mentioned and after I took them off I had red lines and creases everywhere. I finally broke down and bought some cotton maternity underwear at Motherhood that was on sale and I am in pure heaven. Yes they do go up over my belly and my 12 yr old daughter has a field day with that, but it is so worth it :p

I agree! Sundresses are the best! My pants/capris/shorts fit me through the legs but after a period of time sitting the new "lowrider" pregnancy waistbands start to dig into my lower belly and are very uncomfortable. This summer I am going with dresses all the way.

I love the pedicures too. I get them on a regular basis now. However, do not let them massage your feet when you are pregnant. There are reflexology points in your feet if stimulated can cause uterine contractions. The leg massage is still great though.

What are some of your favourite stretch-mark lotions?
I already have them from my son so I imagine they're going to get worse but hey I can try!

I'm really cautious about creams and lotions as most of them contain parabens, chemicals that can cause reproductive disorders in the babies. I use a blend I made myself with cocoa butter, shea butter, almond oil, and vitamin e oil. I honestly don't think it will help with stretch marks (though I don't have any, yet) because that seems to be a genetic issue, but it certainly helps with itching and dryness and makes me feel good and like I'm doing something just for myself.

The best thing I got for helping with the pregnancy is the 4 inch memory foam bed topper. It is HEAVEN. I don't ever wake up with sore joints or hips. It's like sleeping on a weightless cloud. Way better than any pillow, LOL! it's really been a lifesaver.

I will have to see if I can talk my fiance into getting one. He bought me a feather bed topper for christmas, its like sleeping in a couple inches of feathers but my hips hurt and its getting hot in the 70-80 degree summer nights!

One of the best thing I have is my air camping pad thingy. Not that I'm doing any camping, but when we were moving into our new place I arrived before the furniture, but I just laid on my mat and it was soooooooo comfy! I'd sleep on the floor with it every night if I thought I'd be able to get back up with out help. I've been using it at my Lamaze class and I have to say, it beats a yoga mat!

(It has foam in it, and it inflates all on it's own! If you've never seen one of these, here's a link: http://www.backcountry.com/store/ALM0036/A...es-Air-Pad.html )

Oh, I agree 100%. I have one pair of yoga pants and some leggings for under tunics. Other than that, NO pants/capris/shorts! It's all dresses here. So much looser and much comfier on the tummy!

Now that I am 36 weeks- nothing! Seriously, though, I agree with the body pillow fans- mine has been great for keeping me lying on my side-which I was not used to before.
The pedicure idea is a good one- in fact, I think I may just splurge tomorrow!

I really liked my belly band. I wish I had gotten more in other colors. It kept my belly from gettiing exposed or catching a draft and also gave me extra support. I suggest getting a few in different colors that go with your outfits.
