I had a great one about two weeks ago. I sent my mom a check in the mail. She calls me a few days later hysterical b/c the envelope arrived open without a check in it -- I had never sealed it (it seals with a sticker, so it was obvious that I didn't seal it!). OK, so I go to do a stop payment on the check, and then I realize that I don't think I ever wrote the check in the first place! So yeah, I didn't write a check, but I did address and stamp an envelope, which I didn't seal but did put in the mail.

And then today I called a baby store where I had placed an online order to find out why I never got confirmation or shipping info. Turns out I gave them a wrong email address -- I combined my name from my yahoo address but then used my work domain name! Duh!

OK, your turn. Any good ones? :)

I am just thankful that our milk bottles are too big to fit into the cabinets. Every morning I get a glass out of the cabinet, and the milk out of the fridge and pour myself a glass. And every morning I try to put the milk away in the cabinet, sometimes getting angry that it won't fit, til I realize it goes in the fridge.

I have done tons of other silly things also, just can't think of them. DH calls me PB (pregnancy brain) whenever I do something like that.

Lol. These are funny. I don't have any that come to mind. But I do tell people to not tell me to remind them to get or do something.... I'll be lucky if I remember to do what I need to get done.

The whole pregnancy brain thing is SOOOOOO true. :rotflmbo:

I turned on the TV last weekend and was surprised that NBC was running reruns of the Nightly News with Brian Williams in the morning. I figured they were desperate with the writer's strike. But when I realized the show was from 2005, it seemed odd. Then our local news came on, also a rerun from that same day in 2005. I thought they should at least have a ticker tape running to say that this news was 2 years old. How desperate could they be to use news that was 2 years old? When I tried to change the channel I noticed the TV was on VCR mode, and remembered that earlier I had put in an old tape to see what was on it. Oops! :p

I also almost flooded our bathroom the other day when I decided to take a bath, and filled it as full as I used to, not taking into account the new amount of water I was about to displace.

A few months ago, before bed rest, DH and I decided to drive to my parents' and go out to dinner. (They live about an hour away.) We got more than half way there when I looked down and realized I didn't have shoes on.

We just kept on going, laughing all the way. My parents got a huge kick out of it. Thankfully Mom and I are almost the same size so I just borrowed some of her shoes.

My sister is getting her PHD in Nueropsychology and told me that baby brain is an actual physical occurence. Apparently, we lose 10% of our cognitive function while we are pregnant. I didn't think to ask this, but my dh did :) - yes, we get it back!

I have livedwith my step mom since I was a baby. My Biological mom is sister to twins. When I got the question do twins run in the family I said yes but don't they skip a generation, HELLO they did! My grandmother gave birth to my moms sisters. I never thought of it that way!

My husband and I went shopping he told me several times to check to see if I grabbed the check book. I kept telling him it was in my purse so we left. He never reminded me to make sure I had my purse!

A couple months ago I had a horrible problem remembering to shut the refrigerator door. It got so bad my DS would go behind me and shut the door. You know it is a bad sign when the two and a half year old has to remember to close things after you.

Seems like every time I go to the store, I foget to make a list. The other night, my hubby and I were picking up some items for dinner, and for turkey day. We walked back and forth throughout the store a few times, before my hubby asked me if I knew way I was doing? I said sure... I just forgot what I wanted to buy, I look at it this way... at least I am getting in my exercise for the day!

I also left the house with my slippers on, several times. The first time I didn't even notice until I saw my reflection in a window. :unknw:
I was notorious for getting up to do something and then forgetting what it was I wanted to do.
At work were I was a hostess I would have the hardest time sometimes remembering what table I was supposed to be taking which people to, I totally blamed any and all my forgetfulness on my "pregnesia" (someone else on TS coined this term when I was expecting)

I love these stories...I laughed out loud! I haven't done anything nearly as funny...mainly just forgot where I put things. The other day for Thanksgiving, we had bought a roasting pan to cook the turkey in. We didn't want to put it on the counter because our cat would get in it, so I decided to "store it" in the oven until we were ready to cook the turkey. Unfortunately, I forgot about that when I turned the oven on to pre-heat. When we finally discovered it, the paper that had the brand name and directions had been burned onto the roasting pan...

Okay, this is a post pregnancy brain story! Rather the Old Evil Sleep Deprivation!!!

This was after my first baby was born.......we have a king sized sleigh bed and in the middle of the night I walked all the way around the bed to my husbands side and asked him if he could take the baby from me as I had to go to the bathroom.

Bruce woke up, sat up and said "sure".....I leaned in to give him the baby, but their was NO baby in my arms! My husband laughed and said, "where's the baby?" I snapped out of it and was in a panic about where the baby was and at what I just did.

Sasha was snoozing away in her cradle next to my side of the bed!!!!

And IIIIIIII am having twins!?!!! God the sleep deprivation is going to really mess with me, doubly!!!

When I was still pregnant and working, I dropped a pill that I was trying to administer (I'm a vet) so many times in front of the client that he asked if I was on drugs!

Later the same day, I accidentally dialed 911 from my office telephone. I hung up before I thought about it, but of course they called back. They wouldn't accept that things were okay (I guess they couldn't know that no one had a gun to my head) so they sent a squad car with 2 policemen to my work to check!

I feel like my brain is still not back to what it used to be...I hope that it improves when I wean them!
