I've recently found out I am pregnant (by surprise) and I have a 4 year old boy and twin boys that are 2 1/2. All of my children were big at birth...my singleton was 9 pounds 13 ounces and my twins were 6 pounds 15 ounces and 7 pounds 9 ounces. I am curious about any of your pregnancies after twins. Clearly my uterus can expand to a great size so now I am worried that I will have a 14 pound singleton! Actually, I am assuming that there is only one in there! No ultrasound has been done yet!

Anyway, did you feel that you got as big as when you were pregnant with the twins? Did you have a bigger baby just because your body was conditioned after having 2 babies? Thanks for any help!!

Congrats!! My twins were my first pregnancy and they were 4.9 and 5.9 at birth. I gained the exact same amount of weight with my second pregnancy and had a 7.11 baby. I would imagine since all of your kids were big at birth, you could probably expect another big one! Good Luck -

My twins were born at 34 weeks weighing 3.5 & 4.1

My singleton was born at 41 weeks weighing 7.11

I gained the same amount for both but my stomach was actually bigger with the singleton

    Congrats BTW!!!

My twins were 7lb7 & 7lb11. My uterus was VERY stretched. THey were born at 38 weeks (c-section sched.). I just gave birth at 40wk, 1d to a 10lb 1oz boy. I'd be prepared for a big baby! I felt just as big with him as I did with the twins, but I did also have excess water. Good luck wtih your pregnancy!

    Hey... Congrats!!

My twins were first...born at 34 weeks 2 days...they were 5.1 and 5.2, My daughter was born at 38 weeks on the nose, she was 6.15 (weighed after she nursed). I gained 47 pound with the twins and 37 with Grace....so far I have gained 30 lbs this time  !

After the twins, I have always carried very low and showed very early...

    Good Luck!!!!

I had the twins at 35.3 weeks and they were 3.15 and 5.5. I measured 47 weeks.

Dax wasn't born until 41.6 weeks and he was 9.9. My recent u/s and 4 midwives all thought he was around 7.5 though and he didn't look too big when he was born. We were all shocked when the weight number came up on the scale.

So, yes Dax was big but he was also post term and my family often has hefty babies. He's still a big kid. I don't think it had to do with a streched out uterus. I do think having that streched out uterus helped with my VBAC though because the scar never reached it's original length even though I went to almost 42 weeks with my singleton.

    My 1st - 8'14
    2nd - 6'14
    3rd - 6'14
    twins - 6'4 and 7'2
    6th - 7'14
    7th - 9'5

I actually looked bigger with my 9'5 baby than I did when I carried my twins. My 2nd and 3rd were induced a week early due to impateince and stupidity on my part so had I waited they would've weighed more. I tend to go a week overdue naturally so they probably would've weighed right in there with the others around 8 or 9 pds.

Well, my twins were 7lbs at 37 weeks and my singleton was 10 lbs 13 oz at 40w5d!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All three were vaginal deliveries. Somehow, I surived the almost 11-pounder, though I was pretty torn up. I think I'm just destined to make BIG babies. In my family of 18 grandchildren, I've had the smallest (6.15) and biggest (10.13) babies.

I haven't had my post-twins baby yet but I definitely started showing sooner and got bigger much faster than any of my other pregnancies. My daughter was 7-15 and the boys were 6-5 and 5-10.
