With my previous four pregnancies I never bought the maternity panties. I just suffered through wearing mine lower down or maybe bought a few pairs in a lager size. With my last pregnancy with the twins, I had my first c/s. I haven't been able to stand any panties I have, and now that I am prego again, I am getting even more itchy and uncomfortable. I am only 10 weeks along. Should I just buy bigger non-maternity panties or spend the $ on maternity styles. I have never worn them, so I want to know if they are comfortable. What brands are good? I usually wear a size 4-6. Any help would be much appreciated!

All of the maternity panties I found went up over the belly and there was no way I wanted to try that. I just bought bikini underwear in a size larger and that seemed to work. Good luck!

I wore bigger size bikini until like 30 weeks or so...then I got Old Navy OVER the belly ones and LOVED THEM! So comfy. They come in Bikini style too!

Okay, i'll admit i wore them. In my opinion they were worth it in the end especially with my csection. I learned the hard way after i had my first daughter. With the twins it just was a no brainer. Although, yes they are ugly...when you have a csection...they are worth every penny. Oh, i found mine at motherhood maternity...pretty decent priced and they are soooo comfortable. HTH

I just went and bought my self some bigger sized bikini ones (mostly because they were a lot cheaper than buying maternity ones) and they have been great! Not the prettiest, but o well because they are comfortable. I just bought the Hanes bikini ones from Walmart. . .

I also thought the were so ugly and that I was not going to wear the over the belly maternity panties. Then after a few months I realized how uncomfortable bikini panties were b/c they would itch and always would roll down. I bought Old Navy over the belly and I LOVE them! They are so comfortable. When you are so uncomfortable and look like a moose, I did not care if they looked ugly, I just wanted comfort! I also tried Gap, motherhood, and mimi, and Old Navy was by far the best ones. Not the cutiest ones, but the most comfortable one by far! I just ordered another 6 pairs off of OldNavy.com the other day! Good luck.

I NEVER ever thought I would wear the big panties, but I did & I LOVED them!!!!!!!!
Plus they came in really handy after my c-section. I wanted the biggest undies in the world after the c-section & they worked great because they didn't touch the incision line! :good:
I am all for giant undies!

I just buy larger cotton panties which is much cheaper than maternity panties, for a good reason - I'm hoping I don't need such big size panties after I deliver so I'm not prepared to invest in them!! :p

I didn't wear them with my first two pregnancies and never thought I would but by the second trimester I couldn't stand having anything on my lower belly due to the itchy uncomfortable feelings I was having due to the strestching (baby A has been head down pretty far for quite some time now) and I gave in an bought 3-4 pairs of the over the belly Motherhood briefs that were on clearance. I love them and they are soooo comfy. I can't believe I went without before. When I tried bikinis in a bigger size they would roll down whenever I sat down and it drove me absolutely nuts so I gave in and don't regret it at all :)

I never did buy the maternity panties, not sure why I didn't ( guess I was too lazy to buy them), I just used bigger undies and that worked out for me :)

I wore maternity bikini underwear from Pea in the Pod. They also had the best bras.

Although I thought they were lame at first, the over the belly underwear were really nice. I didn't need them in my singleton pregnancy but they were a blessing when pregnant with twins. They're also perfect for after a c-section because they don't rub the scar. I just got the cheapest ones available and they worked fine.

I have nothing rational to add, but just have to laugh cause every time I look down the list and see this subject I think it says PREGNANCY PARTIES every single time....lol. IO'm such a dork.

I loved the maternity bikini underwear. I liked it to be below my belly.
