So, I'm convinced that i'm having a singleton this time around. This pregnancy is just completely different than with the twins. With the twins, by 5 weeks I was so exhausted. I felt like napping after lunch at work and on the drive home I couldn't keep my eyes open...literally. I would be at a stop light and fall asleep...cars behind me would beep. I was in bed by 8 pm for the whole first trimester b/c I was just literally exhausted 24/7. I even quit working out b/c I didn't have the energy to even keep my eyes open to drive the Y after work, so I dropped that membership.

This time, I'm a little more tired than usual, but I've still been watching the news before going to bed...I might catch a catnap from like 7:30-8 after the girls go down, but it's just a quick doze. I have NO problems driving home from work (even though I get up at 5:45 in the morning) and I've still been working out after DH gets home and this is nothing like the exhaustion from when I was pregnant with the twins.

So, am I crazy to think it's a singleton based on the fact that I feel 100 times better (in the exhaustion category) than I did in early pregnancy with the twins?

I had my singleton first. I was way more exhausted with the twins. I kept telling everyone how tired I was with the twins (before I knew it was twins) and they said it was because I had a toddler to take care of. I knew that was not it and had a feeling it I was pregnant with twins and I was right.

you definitely aren't crazy...even if all your signs and symptoms were exactly the same as your previous pg, the odds are still overwhelmingly in favor of having just one!!! Even if your girls are frats...which I couldn't tell...they look so similar, your odds are still around 85% chance of having just 1!!! and if your girls are identical then your odds are over 99% that you will have just one! (assuming you don't have frat history in addition to the amazing coincidence of having identicals!! )

It's funny b/c after the twins were born I was terrified of having another set... But when I actually got pg with this one, I was a little disappointed over not having twins!!

My pregnancies have been completely different - the nausea though seems to be there to stay unfortunately! I was much less tired this time around. I never got that 2nd trimester return of energy everyone kept talking about when I was pregnant with the girls - but this time I did. We checked at 8 weeks just to make sure there was only 1 - I also happened to have the stomach flu that week so I was actually a little worried! It's so much easier this time though - you will be pleasantly surprised.

Well, my girls are frats! But, ever since having them, I always just "felt" like I was one of those who would have twins again. So, we'll see. I wouldn't be disappointed, but it would be hard financially. I won't find out though until August 20! I can hardly wait until that u/s. I'll be 9-10 weeks along.

This pregnancy has generally been the same as with the twins. The only real difference I can think about is that I was more tired with the twins. I was nervous I'd have a second set because my sister had a set of frats and we're a lot alike in terms of genetics (we look the most alike of the 5 of us, etc). There is definitely only one in there, as I've already had two u/s and we only saw ONE baby. I can't wait for the 20th for you.

Same here!! But nope... just one. I've had 5 u/s and there is still only one. I keep reassuring myself that that is a good thing, more sleep! LOL ;)

I can't wait until you find out for sure, and share the news!!

I've always thought that about myself too!! But it didn't happen this time...maybe next time! LOL!

I keep asking my Dr. too to make sure there is only one! We would have loved to have twins again, but we love we are having a singleton too!! Fourznuff told me it wasn't until her 3rd ultra sound that they found her baby b... I've had 4 so far and keep double asking!!

This pregnancy felt exactly the same as the twins and we're only having 1. I would have loved twins again though!
