Just wondering if anyone else has these symptoms or know if this is a warning for preterm labor. I did a lot of moving around, walking this past weekend and my lower bottom, ****** area hurts. ( It is like when you have a tampon in too long and stand a lot) TMI??? Anyway, this is the first time i have had these symptoms and i am only 18 weeks along. Just worried.

Does it feel like pressure down there? Like you need to have a BM?

I think what you are describing is the "evil crotch pain" so common in twin pregnancies. I had it starting around 22-23 weeks, especially if I did too much walking or cleaning and it steadily got worse until 28 weeks, at which point it actually went away. Now it's starting to come back again, but it's not as bad as it was (yet) before. It's just your pubic bone ligaments trying to stretch and seperate.

Stay off your feet, it helps a little bit, but other than that theres not too much that can be done.

Well I'm glad it's not pressure. Try and take it easy and if it makes you feel better, give your OB a call.

That is usually the pressure you feel when you are in labor and are supposed to push. I don't think it is common to feel it when not in labor, but maybe I'm totally wrong. :unknw: I would mention it to your OB if you are feeling this. How often do you feel it?

ah.... the evil crotch pain! When mine got really bad, I'd apply an ice pack and that seemed to relieve it some! HTH!!!

i thought i felt something like that on sunday, but maybe it really was just a BM cuz i woke up monday morning needing to "go" and i usually don't need to "go" in the morning  and i haven't felt it since, so i should be okay, right?

Sounds like it could have just been the need for a BM. If you continue to have it, I would definitely mention it to your OB though.
