Do you know anyone in the area or school teachers? They can usually give suggestions.

I had problems looking online too and so I just drove around and wrote down the names of the places, then researched them online and/or called them:)

oh I asked the mom's group I belong to online too!

I looked in our local paper and also called our town's superintendent of school's office. They were more than willing to give me a list of the private ones in our town/local area.

I talked to family and neighbors but you can also start with greatschools.org. I've been using them to research elementary schools (yes I'm already researching!). There are reviews from parents and it's free (sometimes when you click to see the reviews a sign up box appears, just close that and the reivew page will come up) GL!

This is the site I used initially, but I did ask all my friends on Facebook to give me suggestions. http://www.savvysource.com/preschools/
Just type in your city, it will give ratings and any other pertinent information. Good luck!

Our local library has a list online and posted in the children's section of local preschools.

Where near Philly do you live? I live in Bucks county... so let me know. :good:

I went onto Yelp.com and it gave me a list of all the preschools around in my township and it gave me the option of showing ones from neighboring towns. :good:

If you know anyone at all with school age children, word of mouth is the best way to go. If not, I would check out some of the websites other pp's have given. Good luck!

You aren't far from me at all! We used to live in the Northeast (Rennard and Bustleton) so you're about 20 minutes from me. :good: We do have preschools that aren't daycares. BUT they are all affiliated with churches. Not that it's a bad thing, just that some might not like that route. It's also much cheaper then daycare/preschool. I'm paying $130/month/kid. Let me know if you need any other info. :good:

Instead of looking under "preschool", look under "nursery schools", you will probably have more luck.

:woah: You are not that far from me...I live about 2 minutes away from Franklin Mills. My SIL works during the summer at a daycare/preschool. It's also associated with a church but she's recommended a couple to me. Also, if you look in the Northeast Times some of the local playgrounds have a playgroup/preschool that meet during the week (some of them run 70-80 per month per child) Most of them start at age 3 though and I'm going to sign my two up in January.
