I am concerned about Pre-E, or maybe I've just read too much stuff for my own good :p Anyway, I am currently on a heart medication that also makes my blood pressure low (didn't go on the medicine for high BP, it just so happens to make it really low), but I'm also having some symptoms of Pre-E. I just don't have the high BP part (which could be because of this heart medication). I've had some swelling, all over. My legs, really bd in my feet, my hands, etc. I've also had a headache for almost 24 hours now that just will not go away, I've even taken excedrin for it. I went to the doctor yesterday and they didn't say anything about my urine, but I'm wondering if they even check it (they were really busy and I forgot to put my name on the cup!). So, with all that said, anyone have experience with Pre-E? Should I call and tell them I'm concerned?

Definitely call. I had a form of pre-e called HELPP syndrome which doesn't present in the usual way. My main symptom was a pain in my upper right abdomen and in my back. They couldn't detect anything until a blood test was done, which showed my platelet count to be extremely low and my elecrolytes in my liver to be high. Everything else was normal.

My personal theory, if you question it, call them. For anything. That's what your doctors are there for and if it keeps you and those babies safe, then it's worth it.

I called, they said that I didn't have any protein in my urine yesterday when I was there, and my BP was fine (despite my opinion about it being low due to the heart medication). I told her I've had swelling since yesterday and it's bad, and that I have a headache that just will not go away. She said that she would get me something for my headache, but she hasn't called back yet. Oh, what a wonderful day.

It's always best to call, so glad you did. Have you tried drinking a TON of water? When I get headaches that won't go away (I've had a couple last 2 days) they are always related to my hydration level. I drink a ton of water (until my urine is colorless) and that usually does the trick. If you're dehydrated or retaining fluid, that may also increase the swelling. While you're waiting for them to call back, try drinking a bunch of water and getting your feet elevated. That might help.

Have they called you back? If not, call them and insist on going in for a check! It's definitely better to err on the side of caution and you are the ONLY one who can say whether you feel right or not.

Yes, she called me back yesterday I just didn't have a second to post about it yet! She called me in a prescription for something to help with my headaches. I haven't had one, but I'm still a little concerned!
