Damiane's daughter Indira was admitted to the hospital today with a high fever that keeps spiking and strange shaking. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I'll will update this topic when we know more tomorrow.

Update: I just got off the phone with Damiane and Indira has a Urinary Tract Infection. They are concerned and are doing tests on her kidney and bladder. Sounds like they may be there another night. Her fever is under control and it looks like antibiotics are beginning to work.

Anyone have any UTI experience in their babies?

 

My daughter Molly had a 104 fever at 4 months . The doctor was quick and sharp to diagnose a UTI. After tests, they found that Molly had Kidney reflux which means every time she peed, some of the urine refluxed back into her kidneys. Then it sat there and bacteria grew, resulting in a UTI. She has had two deflux surgeries. The first one didn't work (only 10% dont work) and we actually go wed to see if the most recent one worked. Molly has been on a prevenative antibiatic for four years. She has only had two other UTIs in all that time. Good luck I'll pray for the little one.

Todays Update:
Indira has an infection in her kidneys and bladder, plus they discovered Ecoli in her urine. Damiane had similar health issues only 3 weeks after the babies were born. They can give her no explanation of how Indira got so sick. They are there at least another night waiting on a few more tests. She is so appreciative of the hugs from all of you and will hopefully be able to get back online in the next day or so.
