Well, just wanted to update you all on my condition. As I said in my last post, Baby A had pprom'd at 24 weeks and I have been living in the hospital ever since. Over the weekend, Baby B's membrane ruptured as well and we spent a day & night scared silly. I was 25 weeks 3 days. I had a NST showing mild contractions then at my bpp, Baby B got a 6 fo 8 due to fluid, but Baby A only scored a 4 of 8 because they didn't see her breathing and because of the fluid. Well, that means we go to get monitored for a while and await another bpp. I got back on the monitors and they saw some more contractions that ended up being around 4 minutes apart. They also noticed her heartrate was elevated and that caused concern so we were then taken to a L&D room. This scared us even more, but they said just to be watched and await another bpp. They both passed the next bpp with 6 of 8 both losing 2 points for fluid. We continued to be watched through the night and at one point about 7 people came running in and opened my iv the whole way and threw an oxygen mask on me. I was scared. here Baby A's heartrate dropped and once I got some oxygen, it came back up. It was a long night, but come morning, most of the contractions were gone and we were released back to the antipartum floor to relax and continue to be watched every 4 hours. They do bp & temp and listen to the babies every 4 hours. Baby B's fluid is completely gone and baby A still has about a 1.3 afv. This we found at our bpp yesterday. I am back to getting NSTs every day and bpps 2X a week. I am still leaking fluid here and there, but I am sure that is because they constantly make more fluid. I am still alowed up to shower and toilet, but that is it. I am tired still from the scare and trying to catch up on my sleep. The good thing is WE ARE STILL PREGNANT! YEAH!! :a_smil09:
Well, take care all you wonderful ladies.

wow... So glad they are still inside...one day at a time. Let's hope those babies can cook for another week or so at least..... I think I've heard some encouraging PROM stories on here....I hope they pop on here....

Wow- I can not imagine how that is working on your mind! I worry about everything- and that would do me in- I am so glad that they are doing ok and hanging in there. Every day helps- do they have any idea how long they can keep them without fluid- I was very curious about this- due to I was at L&D last week at 25 weeks with contractions and got steroid shots- and worry about this myself- I wasn't sure if they kept them or went ahead and took them if they lost their fluid...

    Yay for still being pregnant!!
There are moms in the same antipartum unit I'm in that were kept pregnant for 10wks after PROM. (One mom had PROM at 17wks and she didn't deliver until 26wks...her baby is 2 and healthy and happy. She now comes around every so often to see the nurses and meet the 'long-timers' in the unit to give encouragement.)

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the babies. I know it's so stressful to be in the hospital at all, let alone with all you're going through. :hug99:
