We use two ring slings.. really most days I put them in one, with or without legs hanging out. twins in a sling

I'm thinking, I want more of a pouch style because with two on, it feels like a ton of fabric and almost always creeps around my neck. I wear them together to get my oldest to school, so I need something no fuss, no muss. So far, its perfectly fine in one but as they get bigger, I don't know! And I 'd much rather wear them than dig out the stroller etc.

What pouches do you use or how do you carry them in the sling without feeling claustrophobic. I have perfected the carry pictured and the double hip carry. Is there another way I can carry them??

I just have to say that your babies are so cute!

We are trying two bjorns at once. I am sort of short so they are still kind of crammed in there - but it works! Don't try a maximom - those things are a waste of money!

Here is a website that has a forum on how to "wear" multiples! Hope that helps! I have a mei tai that I LOVE! I haven't mastered the art of putting them both in it, though, I know it's possible! [IMG]

Here is a photo of a TS mom wearing her girls in 2 pouch slings. I'm totally blanking on her name right now but she was telling me that she wore them like that all time. Paul was always with me when we'd go somewhere where we didn't use the stroller so I never wore the girls at the same time. The New Native worked wonderfully for me to wear them one at a time though. I'm really looking forward to using it again with the next baby.

Thanks.. I was looking into the Native Carrier. I like the less bulk of the pouch. I am still debating between the Peanut shell and the Native. The peanut shell is a fleece like material.

I LOVE my sling. Now I haven't worn them at the same time but routinely wear one and use a single stroller for the other, or put one in car seat and sling the other. It is VERY comfortable and easy to use. I saw a woman wearing it at the airport when they were younger and had to get one. I have had several women ask me where to get one.

When I was looking at the website I believe they have the the original nojo sling. Is this the one you use? I have the nojo sling- we bought it from babiesrus and love it. They say you can nurse in it but I haven't figured that out yet. I really need to so that our dd could tolerate it better. My ds loves it regardless!

I have 2 new natives, and I wore them both at once. I looked like Rambo with babies instead of ammo (like the pic Ali M posted).

It was SUCH a lifesaver when they were little and wanting to be walked all day....not easy to do when there's just one of you to do the walking.

I swear I would never have eaten a single meal the first 3 months without them. At 10 months, I really don't use them much anymore. We don't live close to much within walking distance, so we're always driving somewhere first, which makes using the SNG much easier for me.

Not sure if you have any sewing skills (or a friend who does), but these slings could be easily sewn for about $5 of fabric and 15 minutes of cutting/work.

I'm not ready to let mine go just yet, but if you're brave enough to try the sewing route, PM me and I can send you some close up photos, measurements, etc.

You should see the job I did on sewing a patch on my son's karate uniforms!! I can't sew a button on, but thanks anyway. I found a few on ebay for under $20 a piece!

We have various slings/baby carriers too, and I actually got a Peanut Shell to use with these guys - it's not a fleece one, just a canvas-type printed cotton. I like it because it's compact & easy to toss into the diaper bag, plus it's stylish, but it's not as easy to use as our adjustable ring sling. I don' think there'd be room for 2 babies in the Peanut Shell, either.

I can't carry both babies at once - each of our guys weighs more that 15lb at this point - but I can put one in a sling and pick up the other one to sit in our rocking chair with both babies. Otherwise we just wear one baby at a time - they both love the slings.

I've heard that Mei Tei carriers are super easy to make, but I sewed a pouch sling out of fleece a couple of years ago, and it was kind of a disaster - I mustn't have used the right sort of fleece, since it's way too stretchy and not very usable!

Do people find the pouches sturdy/tight enough for carrying a baby on your hip or back hands-free? Or is it better to go with a ring sling that can be tightened? I'm looking for something easy to get my almost 16lb 7 month olds in and out of for short stints, one at a time.
