This is the most daunting task I think I have ever faced. Can you hire a person to do it for you for a week or two while the DH and I take a vacation? Has anyone done this before? I am so freakin lazy I know.

I've never heard of hiring someone haha..

I would suggest waiting until they are ready and I don't think it will be as bad as u think

If your kids are anything like mine, this would be a bad idea. My DS doesn't even want anyone else to change his diapers. He gets extremely embarrassed. I think a stranger being there while they were trying to learn how to go potty would be very upsetting.

While I hate the cold, I now wish I lived in Chicago! I would TOTALLY pay someone to train my kids. Mine are both pee trained but not poop trained and it sucks. My son has no problems pooping in his undies :(

You know what I figured out is the hardest part of pt twins....(Kenna is potty trained but not mitchell), the other day we were coming home from the gym, Kenna yelled that she "had to go pee-pee", I was going to stop but then thought "eww.." I don't want to stop at a gas station and have to bring both babies in to the potty when I know Mitchell will be touching everything and anything while Kenna pees a tablespoon's worth of pee into the disgusting public potty....
I never carried around a portable potty with my other kids....but I am definetly getting one to keep in the back of the car from now on!!

Jen, we keep one in the back of our car. Just a cheap 3-in-1 from Walmart. I line the pee cup with a plastic grocery bag and so after they pee, I just tie it up and toss it in the trash can! If there is no trash can close by, I tie it up and leave the bag in the pee cup until we get home. It is very convenient!

And Meara, I too was a bit afraid of potty training. But we were really lucky and they took to it so quickly. It was one of the easier things we have done lately. I hope the same thing happens for you when the time is right!

FYI - I spoke to Wendy from that site - she's WONDERFUL! She gave me all kinds of tips and recommended getting the book "toilet training in less than a day", which she uses as a guide in her class.

If you live in Chicago I would highly recommend her.
