    Hi,
I searched for a previous post but was unable to find one so I apologize if this is an old question.

I was wondering if anyone had any dvd's on potty training for children's viewing that they'd recommend.

    Thanks!
    Sharon :)

It's really old and really stupid but the boys liked it and it helped get them over the hump. "It's Potty Time" I got it at the library. The boys didn't pay much attention to it the first time it was on. However, after the 2nd time I played it they asked for it and started singing the songs.

My girls really Like Elmo's Potty Time. We have not potty trained yet, but they know a lot more about pottying after watching this video and they enjoy it.

I agree that Elmo's Potty Time is a big hit - they watched it with great interest long before they were ready to try.

We also rented the old Once Upon A Potty video from the library, received Bear in the Big Blue House, and a truly old one that my mom found at some close-out sale: Now I Can Potty (I think)

They were all pretty good - Elmo and NICP were the most comprehensive and addressed fears, accidents, etc. We're not fans of Bear, but there were some rocking tunes ;) The boys talked a lot about OUAP's Joshua after seeing it just a few times. It's more anatomically correct (cartoon character) than any others I've seen, with some kids dancing to the songs - there are boy and girl versions.

    GL with whatever you decide!

I second the reccomendation for It's Potty Time. It was done by Duke University and all four of my boys loved it. When we watch it know with the younger ones, the older ones still sing the songs and it does work. We sing the songs while sitting on the potty.

Thanks for the suggestions! I purchased the Elmo video and ordered Potty Time from Amazon.

I am am firm believer in 'Once upon a Potty' One for girls and one for boys. Shows the cartoon body parts. Catchy toon you can sing even if the show is not on and my daughter loved it. She sat on her potty in front of the tv watching it over and over and would ask for it again and again.
