Can you all recommend a good book for me to read about PT? Also, is there any book that I can read to them that would be helpful? I'm trying to get myself prepare to really give this a go.

We didn't use it during PT, but Maggie still likes to read the Elmo one... I think it would be pretty good as you are going through it. I don't have any recommendations for one for you, though. Sorry.

I went to the Pamper's website, they have some really good idea's. I used them and now I have them both going to the PT, we are in about 3 weeks into PT. One mom recommend not to use the Pull-Ups, so I took the Twins to Target and let them choose their own underwear (the 8 pack), it has helped, they don't like to peepee on ELmo :D !!

I'm actually in the same boat you are in terms of timing, I think. But for what it's worth, I purchased (for us parents) the book by the AAP. I find their book on children ages 1-5 an excellent resource, and every pediatrician I know (either professionally or personally) recommended it. When it came time to think about potty training I was already inclined to buy the AAP book as a result. And then, with all the varied recommendations out there about when to potty train, and how, I decided to just cut through all that and get the AAP book, rather than to subject myself to such varied "advice." I've only just started it but so far I'm pleased, and enjoy something that doesn't tell me that I waited too long (my twins are 22 months) or that I haven't waited nearly long enough....etc.

As far as something to share with the kids, I'm going to start with Karen Katz' lift the flap book on potty training, for the simple reason that my twins really enjoy her other lift the flap books.
