since my accident 6 months ago (read below), the girls training has regressed. Rianne is doing much better than Reilly is. Rianne actually wants to use public bathrooms now. my problem is that i won't be able to lift them for at least another 6 months (my lifting limit is still only 10lbs). any suggestions how to get them onto the toilet. i hate public restrooms anyway, so this is very difficult for me. yes, i am that mom who loads the toilet seat with layers of toilet paper and don't let them touch ANYTHING in the bathroom or stall.

i just started driving again on my own about a month ago...driving the girls back and forth to preschool, etc. but i haven't taken them to the store by myself yet, because i can't even lift them to put them in the shopping cart. i just know the day is coming where i will have to take them to the potty in public.

so again my biggest thing is getting them on the toilet...any suggestions?

    thanks in advance,
    rebecca

I would get one of those portable, travel potties for the car. No lifting!

I am sorry to hear about your bad accident and everything you have gone through. You are one strong mama! :bow2: Best of luck with your continued recovery.

I second the idea of the travel potty to keep in the car and stroller. Amazon sells a few different types. We have the Fisher Price travel potty and like it for the car. We also have a second one that I keep in my stroller basket--I can't remember the brand but I got it from Amazon.com and it comes in different colors and it folds up so small!

I was going to suggest a travel potty. I have a bunch of friends who used this one.
