There are many things I do well but I'm thinking toilet training is not one of them!!!

Currently I'm only training one of my girls (the other one is totally not interested). At home as long as she has a naked bottom she will use the potty with no problem. I don't have to remind her and she has very few accidents. However as soon as she has underwear on she reverts back as if she is wearing nappies and will not use the potty. Currently when we are out I remind and remind and remind and put her on the toilet every half an hour until she goes but if I don't do this she will have an accident.

Should I keep going or do I say she is not ready and put her back in diapers?

I have not yet successfully potty trained a child yet, but I am in the process of trying. If I were you I'd keep at it. I'd only back off if she refused to go to the potty.

We have not started training yet...so no advice here. Maybe check out the potty training sticky to see if you find any ideas or maybe someone will come along with a better suggestion for you. I think since you have already started, I would keep at it, too.

I'd say she's not ready. I tried twice with my girls. The first time was similar to what you describe for your daughter - some success but accidents when not prompted. So I gave up and waited six weeks. The second try was great; they were both ready and excited and I didn't need to remind them nearly as much.

So... you could probably keep pushing with your daughter, but unless you absolutely need her potty trained now, it will probably be a lot less frustrating for you if you wait.

What does she say when she wets her underwear? I would just keep her in underwear and if she pee's them just say she needs to remember to use the potty and change her into a new pair. When she realizes that your not going to put diapers back on her I think she will get it pretty quick. I have have trained 5 kids this way and usually by the 3rd day they are trained. Good luck :)
